Used 2017 Acura MDX Consumer Reviews
Great Car!
I recently purchased this car and am leaving this review to capture my initial impressions. I bought the Advance SH-AWD for $20,000 with 80,000 miles on it. All services were accounted for on the Carfax report. The car drives smoothly, and each driving mode offers a unique experience. I'm averaging about 26 MPG so far, which is great. The bucket seats in the back provide individual spaces for the kids, giving the car a premium feel, and they are spacious enough for adults. The third row, however, is best suited for children or very small adults. The stereo system is decent, though it lacks Android Auto (which I plan to add soon). My wife and I both appreciate the dual screens, especially since we can display the map on one while controlling the audio on the other. The trunk space is decent with the third row up, and it's huge with the third row down. Overall, this car is amazing, and I hope I still feel this way in 3, 5, and 7 years!

Had to have the engine replaced!
I really like the car when everything is working properly but we had a u-joint go out earlier this year ($1200) and here we are 5 months later needing a new ENGINE! $8500!! WARRANTY OUT! We had a 2003 Honda Pilot that was 14 years old with 300,000 miles that got ran like a dog that NEVER faltered once! I babied the Acura getting it serviced regularly with not half the miles and the Pilot like I said never got the care our MDX got and I’ll guarantee it’s still running somewhere while that beautiful Acura is broke down again in my driveway.

Reliable
Not the sexiest vehicle in the world, and has had a few minor imperfections that needed repair . But runs well and will probably continue to do so for many thousands of miles . Handles well , responsive and gives the driver a feeling of being pretty safe . Overall good car .

Just an ok vehicle
Nav system is horrible. Clunky & difficult to use. Original tires & rims are problematic. Rim edges extend outside the tire so getting close to a curb (parallel parking!) ends up scratching the rims. Comfortable ride. Ok gas mileage. Good highway, lousy city. Terrific cargo area. Lots of space & ideal for traveling. Service costs are considerably more than my highlander but less than the luxury class including Mercedes & Lexus.

Comfortable and Athletic
I got this car new for my wife. She loves it. I drive it occasionally and on long trips. It feels athletic and light on its feet for such a big car. Her previous car was an Audi Q5 Quattro. That was a great car, but we both like her MDX better. The Audi had the Bang and Olufsen sound system. It was really good but the Acura ELS is a step above. I have the Harman Kardon in my BMW, and I like my wife’s ELS more. Our only complaint is the address entry in the nav is clunky and slow.
