Used 2004 Volvo S60 Consumer Reviews
First time volvo owner
Very impressed with the smoothness of the ride. Has great pick up and really moves when you step on the gas. Turbo lag is something that I had to get used to, but does not affect the driving experience.
Excellent Choice
All the waiting and debating ... It's finally mine The automatic is quick ... the sound system is amazing and the interior puts a smile on my face. I will recommend this car to anyone ... hats off to Volvo for creating such a dynamic vehicle at such a reasonable price.

Great to Drive My Wife's Car
We'r letting our daughters use our stalwart 240 wagon at university. My wife wanted Toyota, Subaru maybe Honda, but not BMer, Mercedes, or Jag. Maintenance is concern. I drive Suburban and Ferrari. Volvo is great to run around town and highway is fine. Sport package and turbo helps. Mileage is ok--22. Steering is safe but not Ferrari. Breaks good. Sweet car!
Volvo curse
We've owned our brand new 2004 S60 2.5T for 10 days and its been at the service dept for more than half of the time we've owned it. The night we drove it home, we noticed a vibration-shimmie which, after 3 attempts, the dealer has been unable to diagnose and repair; they have balanced the tires, changed the tires and the problem has not been resolved after three attempts. We've put more miles on the loaner cars than our own car, lemon law here we come. We bought a BIG, EXPENSIVE problem; we never expected this to happen with Volvo's reputation and the amount of money that we spent, but it did!
My "Sheep in Wolf's Clothing"
To date, no issues with the vehicle. Build quality is excellent, as well as performance. 4C is great. Sport and Advanced have very different qualities. Comfort vs. Sport is not as great a change. The car tracks as if on rails in high speed turns. The car is just pure fun to drive. Best part is I can take it out for some spirited driving, then haul the kids to soccer. It's stealth, but (in my opinion) looks much better than an S60AWD. For the money, you will have to spend $10-15K more to get something comparable from Audi, BMW or Benz.
