Used 2004 Volvo S60 Consumer Reviews
Fantastic car!
Ok, so I've had the car for less than a week. I absolutely love it. The 2.5T S60 2004 has incredible styling, power, and luxury. I've never owned a Volvo, but between the super experience at the dealer and the car itself, I'll be buying Volvos for a long, long time. It's a luxury car without the high price. I was torn between the S60 and a Honda Accord. No contest. The S60 is better built, drives better, and it's not what everyone else is driving! Yet.
Wow!
Just got my S60R. Wow! Silver with the blue interior is the way to go. The blue leather is not as loud as in the brochure. Acceleration and handling are excellent, and the seats are much more comfortable than the BMW 5 series.

This is not Your Father's Volvo !
The first thing that caught my attention was the fit, feel, and comfort of the seats. The side bolsters just beg you drive the car. Its got to be the sleeper car of the decade. Was at 80 mph in second gear before the end of the entrance ramp. Its the first time I ever had to slow down to merge onto the I-state. Turbo provides a solid kick in the pants with very little lag. Makes driving FUN. Blue gauges, aluminum accents, and blue stitching are sharp. Salesman said it would seem there was always someone's bumper in your face and he was right. This is not your fathers Volvo its my wifes!
S-60 R - 6 Speed
I've had American performance cars for many years. The Volvo S60 R is my first experience with European performance. The car handles superbly; Accelerates briskly and smoothly; Overall, performs flawlessly. It is an impressive ride.
Exceeding Expectations
This is our first Volvo. I had thought that I would never own a Volvo due to their older, boxy models that did not appeal to me. But their newer, current models caught my attention, and when we test drove the S-60 we were quite impressed. To get a comprable car with the plush interior and performance engine, such as BMW or Mercedes, you'd have to pay about $10K more. Alternatively, you could get an Accura TL which is comprable in price, performance and size, but it looks and feels cheap compared to the Volvo S- 60.
