I have owned other sports cars and I was surprised at how much I enjoy the GTI. It is powerful, fun to drive and fuel efficient. On the highway it runs as if it is on rails. With snow tires, it performs incredibly well in poor driving conditions. The interior is well set up and the sound system is excellent. With the rear seats down, it can hold a huge amount of cargo if needed. I don't think a better price/performance car can be found in this class.

S trim lack lots of neat features, which are available only in SE/SEL, like climate control, auto lights.
