Underpowered, tiny fuel tank, and software bugs!

2018 Volkswagen Atlas
We got a white R line SEL and it is a great looking vehicle and great value to other SUVs in this class. Storage space is off the charts. Picking the right options you can get a very attractive looking car. However, this first model year is garbage (hopefully the 2019 model fixed all of the issues). The infotainment system has countless bugs and VW has not released a single software … update since inception to fix the issues. The car is really heavy and engine is extremely underpowered as a result so the gas mileage is poor (avg 12-14 mph combined). To make matters significantly worse, the fuel tank capacity is so small that we have to fill up the tank every 250-300 miles. I knew buying the first model year was a risk but I would have thought software bugs would have been tested and at least updates issued (in the 2 years since the car was released) and they would put in a much larger gas tank for a car with such terrible gas mileage. I would stay far away from the 2018 model year and possibly the 2019 model unless all of these issues have been addressed.
