2016 Tesla Model X
We have one of the original Model X's, a 2016 P90DL Signature Performance. It is a phenomenal vehicle, but of course, all good things must have issues... right? Well, yes. We tend to keep this car's mileage relatively low, and right now its about 25k miles, for a 2016! At around 23k, we had to replace the falcon door latch, and a sensor (which wasn't SO expensive). This is basically our … only issue in the many years we've owned it. This vehicle is amazing, it's fast (which the kids love), practical (amazing for Costco hauls LOL), and very safe (the Tesla Autopilot feature is exceptional, it is especially handy for long road trips and everyday freeway commuting). My favorite things about the car are the giant windshield, the very convenient falcon wing doors (which the kids also love), and the amount of storage space throughout the entire car. Now, onto speed. I absolutely adore the Ludicrous Speed Upgrade option, which is amazing for having fun with the kids in my family. When I'm not using Ludicrous, I tend to have it set to sport. (There are four speed options: Chill, Sport, Ludicrous, and Ludicrous+ (Max Battery Power)) The sport setting is quick and zippy, perfect for overtaking on the freeway and weaving through traffic. I am also very obsessed with the Signature Red (PPSR) paint color, which only recently I found out that it is exclusive to the Signature Line! Overall, this vehicle is perfect for many families, for those who value either looks, performance, practicality, or all 3!
