2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid
Bought new in the spring of 2017, I just crossed 121,000 miles in this Ioniq Blue. All of it essentially trouble free. Routine maintenance, including a new set of tires, has been my only significant cost. There have been a few recalls, all related to the hybrid nature of this design but no $ charges to me. It has been a very reliable car these past eight years. To get the best … mileage, this car does need correct tires. Current OEM tires for this car are now Hankook. When new, it was Michelin, but no longer. Do not buy whatever is cheap. With the original Michelins, I was easily exceeding 55mpg. Now, not so much, as I do not have the Hankook tires on the car. But I will, the next time I need tires!
Overall, this is the most reliable car I have ever owned. I have 4 other vehicles in the stable and this one always runs very well. I have driven well over a million miles over the last 60 years, and nothing has run as well as this, especially given the now higher road use mileage. If you are looking for a reliable car that gets great mpg, this is one to seriously consider.
Current issues: The rear hatch button and drivers door button are subject to wear and will shred apart, requiring the use of the key to lock or unlock the drivers door. The passenger door button works fine because it is rarely used.
Other than these soft button issues, everything still works, like the day I bought it.
