2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid
I bought a 2017 Ioniq - first one sold in New Mexico. Two years later this car stopped working. Literally STOPPED working. It has been in and out of the shop for over 4 months. They have replaced everything and have no idea what’s wrong with it. I have a case manager with the national office who essentially said all they could do is pay for my rental. Most recently, the car was in the … shop for almost a month. I drove it to dinner and back and it almost broke down on the way home. While driving it shuts down. That’s right... imagine driving in a busy street and your car just shuts off! Completely unsafe. It’s a miracle I haven’t been in an accident. I’m terrified to drive it. I can’t take the highway. This car is terrible. I bought it new and two years later it isn’t drivable. I still owe 15K on the car and Hyundai doesn’t care. This is the worst financial decision I’ve ever made. Please please please do not buy this car. Hyundai does not stand behind their vehicles and in no way do I feel valued as a customer. Not to mention, one day I will stall in the middle of an intersection (again) and this time one of the other drivers won’t be able stop. I hope my family holds Hyundai responsible. Save yourself, save a friend, buy any other vehicle from any other manufacturer.
