2021 Honda Clarity
Have had the Touring plug in hybrid and it has been an excellent vehicle all around. That pinion remains. Purchased for about 28K new thanks to 6K discount as they had trouble selling it in 2019! Good visibility, comfortable, quiet in electric. Like that if going forward very slowly it chimes. Very good rear camera. Signals if drift into another lane, and good brake warning. … Entertainment system ok. Ideal for listening to podcasts or books on iPhone.
Navigation system works fine. Understand from a relative with a RAV-4 that Toyota charges a fortune (>$500) for map updates, and Honda dealer told me I’d get free maps for lifetime from Honda, so that helped to sway me toward Honda, rather than a plug-in Toyota / Prius.
Pretty much stick to Eco mode.
Trunk space more than adequate.
Design; like the rear wheel partial tire coverings as they decrease drag.
Wish had front/ side video options, and a means on the dash to track how many miles on the internal combustion engine, as some boat engines do. Put a device that cost about $12 on the engine to do that when look under the hood.
Comfortable driving, and responsive to steering and acceleration.
Contacted local Carey Paul Honda near Atlanta asking by phone, another time by chat, about a new one different times, but they never got back to me. They made generic asks to buy it back, always below what I could get myself, we’re I inclined.
Cease of production, a shame.
Took back deposit on a Model 3 Tesla as that would have run quite a bit when adding the trimmings, and didn’t care to pay extra to get a color besides black, and support an irrational that spreads lies, while paying less tax than I do.
