2017 Genesis G80
Purchased a 2017 off a lease so mileage was below 40k. Developed a popping noise in the roof. Dealer tried twice to fix under warranty. Replaced full roof. Genesis has a memo out indicating an
issue but no recalls. Replacement roof did the same noise. Ordering another roof. Service mgr indicated he talked to another who has 4 roofs replaced. Would not have purchased as I have been … without my car more time than I have driven it. Also some vibration issues that new tires and balance did not fix. Dissapointed......update 3 try
Is successful. Had to bring in manufacturer to find the fix in the frame. Only issue after 10 months as all the features make this car a pleasure to drive although I find the lane departure aggressive in taking you back in the lane. All the driving modes are effective getting almost 30 hwy. sport mode makes this larger car very sporty. There is an issue with the heat not transferring to the floor. It comes out of the defrost and barely blows on the floor.
Now 1700$ repair for fuel injectors just 300 miles over 60k warranty. This car has been trouble since I purchased. Weird electronic issues, and buildup of carbon on cylinders. Another 300$.
