I don’t usually pay attention to bad reviews, I like to form my own opinion. But this place should be named The worse way to wholesale autos. I walked in Jan. 25 2021 looking to trade in for an AWD car for my family. Walked in, was greeted poorly with the most unbothered “how can I help you?” in my entire life. I get better from the drive thru lady at McDonald’s. Guy didn’t even offer me a seat in which I was confused if I should take a seat or not, so I seat myself, no big deal. I told him my desired car and what I have to trade in. He gives my keys to his “manager” and sat back down like I wasn’t even there, to just continue to laugh at Facebook videos, pick at his cuticles on his desk with his nail clippers (gross) and had his mask hanging of his chin while sniffling & wiping his nose with his fingers while I’m sitting across his desk with the most awkward silence ever. Not to mention we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and there’s literally associates walking around with no mask or masks hanging off their ears. Hate to be the “wear your mask” person but my wife literally saw someone decline a test drive because the associate riding along said he didn’t have a mask. I even heard employees word for word ask each other about W2 forms like they don’t have customers sitting right in front of them. I can not make this up. I snatched up my keys and walked out of there not looking back. If this place carried itself with more dignity & their employees showed some respect for their customers or at least themselves and at least dressed like a car salesman instead of garbage man they’d be more successful. Just.. don’t.

Went to check out a used Lexus RX. Mind you, I have people I know who work there and also buy vehicles there. I have lived in Smithtown my whole life and thought this dealership begging around as long as I have, would have stellar people working there, but I was proven wrong. I went in inquiring about that SUV, spent 15 minutes with John King, and showed interest in this car. He didn’t know they had it on the lot. I didn’t even take it out to drive. Went back two days later, bad weather again. Saw another salesperson, Bob. Very nice. He went over my appraisal, and was about to talk more about pricing, etc., but said, “ I should wait for John, I don’t want him to yell at me”. That should have been a flag. Put down a deposit. Went back 3 days later, to tell him I reconsidered. In the middle of the showroom, he was yelling at me for being inconsiderate that I didn’t call him first to tell him. He was made he did paperwork....paperwork? What paperwork? I spent a total of 30 minutes with him. I was expecting him to say let’s talk about this, maybe we can help you later when you’re ready...no, he was rude, and to be honest I didn’t engage since I thought he was going to have a heart attack. My husband was about to get into it but I stopped him. We had to go back home for thenoriginal paperwork and when I returned, other salespeople came up to me to apologize. He didn’t make a scene since people were now in the showroom and I suppose they were concerned I was going to make a scene but I’m not that type of person. This man should just retire and not be exposed to potential customers without other salespeople. I am completely disgusted with how I was treated m and will not step foot in there again. I work at a local upfittng truck dealership, and if I know someone will go there, I will mention what I went though to anyone that will hear me. Do not go there and deal with John King.
