After sitting on the fence for a couple of years, I traded in my '11 Tacoma on a new 2018 Tundra. I'm not going to say I wish I had done it sooner, as I liked my Tacoma, but the increase in size and comfort is great! Gas mileage, not so great, but I work from home, so it doesn't kill me. It looks great in the garage, sitting next to my 1977 FJ40 Landcruiser. Toyota all the way!

2018 dc 4wd off road...I received a fantastic trade for my 15 Cm -OR-sr5...I am in the minority, but my truck is a daily driver, and is comfortable and very easy to park, drive etc. I am better off comfort wise and drive characteristics than in the wifes Honda Odyssey. Again I am probably one of the lone few who say you can receive decent gas mileage if driven sane and focused. For the price and resale value I cannot justify any other truck...P.S. winter gas mileage 15,summer honest 17-19 mpg

I’ve owned other Tundras and don’t get me wrong. It is a great truck. With that being said, if you plan on spending 55,000 dollars, here is what I didn’t get. Better infotainment - no integrated climate controls, no CarPlay, no android auto, underpowered radio, I have a subwoofer... I just can’t hear it. The 5.7 liter engine is a great, reliable engine. The problem is that it’s sluggish... and thirsty. The Tundra is very roomy but the size comes at a hefty weight which feels “fat” on the road. I say it feels fat because in a turn, regardless of speed, it lumbers around. You could opt for the TRD rear sway bar or ask to replace the front sway bar with one from the sequoia (it isn’t hollow like the Tundras). But that all costs extra. The interior design is simple, dated, and overall it fits well without squeaking or buzzing. Exterior is simple, tried and true Tundra without just jumping out at you.

The Tundra is an all around great truck, but some of the features and the gas milage need work. The Entune entertainment system is a joke. The navigation system is a joke. Toyota needs to use the android auto system to allow users to use their own nav and audio apps. Gas milage is one of the worst in it's class but that is something I am willing to deal with for a truck with as much performance as this one has.

Ford F150 Owner switched to Toyota Tundra -Mixed

2018 Toyota Tundra Limited FFV 4dr CrewMax Cab SB w/Prod. End 6/18 (5.7L 8cyl 6A)

I have owned 6 Ford F150's and my last 2, a 2007 and a 2017 really lacked quality and they spent a lot of time getting serviced. I was able to Lemon Law my 2017 F150, and made the switch to a Toyota Tundra. I purchased a 2018 Tundra Limited 4x4 with the TRD Off-Road package. Compared to my Lariat, it does lack some of the conveniences like tailgate step, auto-locking tailgate, remote start, LED lighting when unlocking, BLISS, etc. I know I could get some of this with other packages or add-ons...My biggest issue is the safety stuff on the 2018. The adaptive cruise control is too safe...putting too much distance between you and the car in front...the Lane Departure Assistance is irritating...sensitivity can be turned down, but not off. The backup camera isn't partnered with a sensor so no audible alert (my be a config I'm not seeing)...MOST irritating is that I'd like to add some accessories and modify my truck. The PCS sensor/radar is apparently impacted by any type of bull bar, leveling or lifting - per Toyota. I'm seeing on Forums where these have been done, and you get mixed messages by service advisors. I wish I knew this before purchasing as I would not have purchased this truck. Now that I'm stuck with it, it's just OK.
