Salsa Red 5.7 Beast
I purchased my 2008 XSP Edition 5.7L V8 Tundra Double Cab brand new with just 33 miles on the odometer. My Tundra has never left me stranded. I only use Amsoil full synthetic oil, and change it every 7500 miles. Last year (2023) I changed the plugs, drive belt, and serviced the transmission. May 2024, I had the front and rear differential, and transfer case (Amsoil fluids) serviced as well as new front and rear rotors and brakes. ($1500) As of May 11, 2024 my Tundra has 133,518 miles. I’m also averaging 16.2 MPG using cruise control on a US Highway which I drive weekly. I love my Tundra!

One owner 185k and going strong
Bought my 2008 Tundra SR 5 4×4 new. Best truck I've ever owned. Only issue is the starter is in a odd place $700.00 repair. Other than that its a solid truck. Runs like a champ. Hoping newTundra comes out with a 10k-12k towing rating. Very dependable and reliable. No oil or transmission leaks. No paint fade or rust. Used 4x4 everyday during Texas winter storm of 2021. Never had any issues. Just hit 185k and it still runs like new. The 5.8 V-8 is a tried and true motor. It's one of the best if not the best motors in the truck market.

Tundras are tops
This truck is Solid. My model is a well thought out work truck. Nothing fancy. Coming over from bigger trucks (1 tons, 2/4 tons), I absolutely Love the ride and handling for a heavy duty 1/2 ton. Four wheel drive w/ the limited-slip rear dif and traction control off is key for where it’s driven. It’s also aging well with 150k and zero issues/ normal maintenance only. I’ve always driven GM, Ford and Chrysler trucks - and I gotta say, this Texas made Japanese truck is every bit as well made as the Detroit trucks if not better, and if you run your truck long and hard miles and put it up wet, then you won’t be disappointed in this loyal workhorse.

Big and Powerful Truck
Biggest truck driven so far. Sometime it felt like driving a school bus because it's so big inside and outside. Love the Big V8 and Big brake. Truck is very quiet and firm on the roads. The only thing I don't about this truck is that it uses too much gas. Getting around 14-18MPG on mix driving. Got to trade it in for Tacoma or 2nd home equity loan soon because getting expensive to fill up the gas tank. I don't understand how millions of people can afford to drive any Big V8 everyday because I can't...
the Tundra continues on and on!
You can't go wrong. Cheap to own. My 2nd one. Both were great past 240000 miles .
