Buy It. It rocks. I get about 18mpg. good enough for me & a truck. I have the "Ivan Stewart" edition, so I am god-like. best truck made 2001-2002 9.90 out of 10.00

My parents bought this car in 2004 with about 45,000 miles on it. The truck is smooth, powerful, quiet, confidence inspiring. We have been averaging 19 mpg in town and about 21 on the freeway w/out 4 wheel drive. Pretty good for a V8 and heavy truck. The only problem is the transmission...It works wonderfully until you have to tow your heavy trailer! 6500 pounds down hill broke the weaker parts in the Tranny, atleast it was safe enough to drive the rest of the way home! Otherwise, great truck...does that kill the point of having a truck? I tend to think so.

I bought this truck used with only 5,000 miles on it. After a year of ownership, I hate driving anything else. It is great to drive and feels very solid in all conditions. We also have a lexus RX300, and I still prefer to drive the truck. It rides so smooth and the quietness of the cabin is amazing.

I bought a new toyota truck and have been disapointed the longer I have had it. It is not able to pull the heavy loads that I wanted too. I bought a new trailer for my business and it just does'nt have the power to pull like I need. It is really underpowered, unless you just drive it to Lowes Hardware etc... I have also had a few problems, one is with some interior noise and an air conditioning problem. I have been underwhelmed with the performance of this vehicle.

PERSONALLY, MY TRUCK GETS LESS THAN 14 MILES PER GALLON AROUND TOWN WITH THE A/C ON OR OFF. WITH A 5 YEAR LEASE AT $489.19 PER MONTH, $70.24 PER MONTH FOR "NATIONWIDE INSURANCE" (WITHOUT POINTS ON LICENSE) AND $111.36 FOR 4 TANKS OF GAS TO DRIVE 750 MILES(APRIL 2002, GAS PRICES EAST CENTRAL COAST OF FL) THIS TOYOTA TUNDRA SR5 ACCESS CAB 4X2 V8 IS A VERY EXPENSIVE RIDE AT $8,049.48 PER YEAR TO LEASE, INSURE AND FUEL!!! NEXT TIME I'LL BUY A USED VEHICLE, NOT BE STUCK IN A LEASE AND INVEST IN FLORIDA REAL ESTATE!!! LOL WHICH IN SAINT LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, WHERE I, LIVE, HAS APPRECIATED AT 8 PERCENT IN THE PAST YEAR I, READ!
