Used 2019 Toyota Tacoma Consumer Reviews
This is great truck. It is not a great car!
Great truck and does very efficient what is design to do. Great 4x4, high, fantatic capability off road, on road and to carry stuff around. But this is not a car, not as agile as a car. Sometimes a parking spot is not a parking spot. It takes space. Said that, I love this thing.

Solid, nice looking truck
I've put 10K miles on my truck, 2019 TRD Sport 4WD Access Cab made in Texas. I bought the V6 after test-driving the 4-cyl and not believing any company would do that to such a nice looking vehicle. There are two words that come to mind to describe the V6 drivetrain: adequate and unrefined. The engine/transmission is set up for gas mileage and NOT for smooth driving or acceleration. I can live with that--some people can't--if the truck holds up over time. There is power there but it can be hard to find. The ECT button can be helpful for better shift points and more power. Most of the complaints from other reviewers I haven't experienced. My biggest complaint about the truck is the cheap interior control knobs. 32K for a truck with knobs that feel like they could break at any moment. They haven't yet but it's not a confident feel. Second biggest complaint is the lack of acceleration per my drivetrain comments above. Also it seems the brakes could and should be much smoother. I like the Safety Sense in that it's appropriate rather than aggressive. So far it has only hit the brakes at appropriate times. A lot of people buy Tacomas for the rugged good looks and I appreciate that as well.

Searching for Gears and worthless premium sound
2020 Tacoma TRD Sport with JBL Premium Sound. Have about 6k miles on it. Auto trans is constantly searching for the right gear and is a slight nuisance. My biggest gripe is paying extra for the upgraded JBL sound system and it is absolute garbage. You can barely hear the music at highway speeds or when the windows are down. Not sure what they were thinking. Even with Bluetooth calls, you can barely hear the person on the other line, even at max volume. Max volume on this system is abysmally low. I can’t believe JBL would even want their name on this system. I have a portable JBL speaker that puts out more bass and volume than my truck does. I’m severely disappointed with this fact as music is super important to me. Will be my last Toyota unfortunately. It’s terrible because everything else is great and up to par but in 2020 paying extra for a subpar system is just plain highway robbery.

hamski
great gas mileage; great handling roads and highway; service from Coos Bay Toyota very good; purchased from Newport Oregon Toyota and buying process went very well. like; like the truck very much.
Great Midsize Truck
I only Test Drove a Toyota Tacoma Limited. The short time spent driving the truck was great and everything I thought it should be.The backseat legroom was a little cramped in my opinion. There is a wide variety to select from in interiors and truck types. Lots of accessories to select also. Safety seems to take a huge priority with the Tacoma. I felt very safe and aware of the surroundings while driving.
