Used 2019 Toyota Tacoma Consumer Reviews
Sporty and handy
Got out of a BMW328i which was fun but became a maintenance headache after 10 years. Been stuck in snow for 3 years so went looking for 4WD SUV/Lt Pickup. Very happy with Tacoma after a year, no issues at all. Looks sporty, handles well, sounds and feels solid. Road noise is much more noticeable but thats why we have a radio. So far enjoying the performance and mileage.

Toyota is no longer reliable!
I've been driving Toyota pickup trucks for 20 years. I've purchased truck after truck because they were all but bullet proof. Those days are done, it appears Toyota has lost its focus on quality. My truck just required a repair that cost over $1,000 and I don't even have a 50k on it (front differential actuator). It's not covered by the warranty. This truck is not built to the same quality that my last Tacoma was. Looks like Toyota has a new business plan, it's called planned obsolescence.

2019 Tacoma mpg sucks
In city driving I am getting 13.75 mpg. This is not acceptable for 2019. I just turned 3,000 miles. Had I known poor mpg I would have not purchased. There is a recall on fuel pump but not sure if this will enhance mpg. This vehicle is very nimble to handle and seems to have plenty of power. Acceleration is sluggish which has been observed by Toyota and part of fuel pump recall. I am 6’ 1” and I’d a little hard to get into.

2.7L 4-cylinder review
Avoid getting this engine, it is grossly underpowered. Mine has the TSS package with bigger wheels that further makes the problem worse. It has trouble keeping the speed limit on the highway, and cruise control redlines the engine all the time to keep up. However it handles well, brakes well, and fills my needs utility wise. If it had more power I’d love it to death!

Love this truck! Great MPG, fun, 4x4, useful!
Traded in my old dependable 99 Ranger for this Tacoma with it's tried and true 2.7 4cyl. MPG is great (20 local, 28 highway), 6 foot bed is very useful and tough for work and I can put it in 4WD for some weekend fun in the dirt. I've got the best of 3 worlds, commuter, hauler, and TOYota!
