Used 2020 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
Battery life sucks
My car has been to the dealer twice in 8 months for dead battery. Waiting to hear what story they come up with regarding this ongoing issue. Absolutely love this car but battery seems to be an issue (especially after reading a handful of other reviews).
Premium sounds system FAIL
I like this car but the JBL premium sound upgrade is a big failure. The connection does not work. Most irritating is the system looses its memory when the car is started causing it to forget all presets. Toyota has been waiting for three months for an upgrade to fix this. A known problem that they will not inform customers about? Irritating at a minimum. It’s a lemon at this point.

Attractive and Reliable Car
This car is totally worth the money. The newly updated design makes it look very sleek ( much different than past Rav4 designs). I also feel very safe driving in different terrains and really like that you can just push a button to change the tire grip depending on which terrain you are driving over ( ex: snow, sand, rocks, etc.). I also love the heated weather package I received with the heated seats and steering wheel, Car play, and the Alexa connection. The only negative comments I have is that I don't prefer the noise that the engine makes when I go up hills and the drive could be a bit smoother. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Absolute Junk
After a long vacation, I found me and my family stranded at the airport. The 2020 RAV 4 with less than 15,000 miles would not start. Called Toyota Care and they sent someone with a jump box. The lights came on but the ignition would not turn over. Then tried to get it towed, but due to a dead battery, they could not switch the gear to neutral To tow it. The car also makes loud grinding noises due to the fuel pump. And now there is an SRS Airbag issue. To make it worse,, Toyota and the dealerships knew there was a battery issue. When selecting options for service at 15k miles, there was an option to replace the battery for free. Stay far away from this battery eating piece of junk.
Great handling
I purchased my 2020 XLE Rav4 1 month ago. I am overly impressed with the handling of this car. Corners tight and rides well on long distances, but.....I am extremely unhappy with the drivers seat. Although there are 3. Controls, the lumbar is positioned high on my back. The rest of the seat is quite conclave and it is hard as a rock. I traded in my 2017 Rav4 for this car, wish I kept its seat, the most comfortable ever!!! What's more, every time I get out of the car, the seats fabric, along with the clips that hold it in and under the seat, pop out. I am 5 foot 5 and weigh 135, so if the seat cannot hold up to me, it surely won't hold up to my husband. All in all, great car, horribly uncomfortable seat!
