Great vehicle overall. Toyota put cheap tires and battery on it and those were changed out at about 20k. The only repair was a window regulator at 35k. My next car purchase will almost certainly be a Highlander.

I have 40k miles on this car and have done a few long distance trips in it. The space of this SUV gives me confidence on the road. The sound system is great! CON: At my work, I park under a pine tree, which has dropped leaves on my car, clogging the sunroof drain and causing a few leakes. At the dealer, the issue was resolved with no cost to me. The paint is also pretty easy scratched, our dog was out once and jumped on the passenger door, leaving a LOT of scratches. ** 60K Miles Update - I had to repair something in the engine that ended up costing just over $1,000. Rats also chewed through some hoses and those had to be repaired as well (this is possible for any car). Pretty disappointed with this car, especially considering the reputation associated with Toyota.

This is my second Highlander. I loved the first one so much, I purchased this one after my first one was 5 years old. This one is now 7 years old and I wouldn't have any other car at this point. I love my Highlander!
