Used 2007 Suzuki Forenza Consumer Reviews
Interior Problems
Me and my husband bought this car in 2007 and was very satisfy at first. Later, our door handles start falling off, we took it to the dealer to be repaired, and they told us this problem was not under warranty. At this point, we are very dissatisfied.
unhappy with car
Ok, so continuing from back in Sept, my car went back in again to the dealer for a 3rd time replacing the transmission sensor for a second time on 10/12/09 and also had a drivers seat ordered as the lumbar is broken. Well to date, no call yet that the seat is in and we are now in December and the car still rides like it has a hesitation. Suzuki rep has decided not to return calls as well. It's no wonder they stopped making this car. They are nothing but junk!! Transmission should have been changed according to other mechanics, but Suzuki doesn't want to honor the warranties!! Rip offs!!

Honestly, can't complain.
I purchased this vehicle with 114,000 miles on it and have currently put 156,000 miles on it. As I near my trade in time, I thought it was time for me to review this vehicle for future buyers! Now, when I purchased the vehicle from a buy here pay here place in Delaware last year it already had a transmission range senor issue (which is a constant problem I see on other reviews of the same.) After I got that issue fixed I haven't had any issues at all since! Car rides decent, gets decent mpg, and the interior even has a certain appeal to it. I smell something everytime heat is on and I'm parked but haven't seen what it is yet.

Not bad at first
If you notice reading all of these reviews, the recent ones are not good. All of the good reviews are from 2006-2007 when the car is fairly new with not a lot of miles on it. Seems like once it hits the 50,000-60,000 mile range is when things start to go pretty rough. Our front door handles broke off quite early, but they replaced them at the dealership no problem. Just recently the transmission has been slipping and has almost caused a few accidents. I've noticed the tires aren't the greatest either, seems like a pretty uncommon tire size, too. Luckily the car is under warranty, so hopefully I can get the transmission problem fixed soon.
Cheap Car, but Not a Great Value
This car looks quite nice from the outside. It also comes standard with air conditioning, a CD player, and heated mirrors. However I have had multiple starting problems with this car even though my Suzuki dealer claims this problem is limited to the '06 models. It also gets bad gas mileage when compared to other compact cars. I was driving a SUV so I did not notice it at first, but 21 mpg for a compact is bad. Also, the automatic transmission sucks too much power away from the already small inefficient engine. When I am going up a hill on the interstate I have to keep my foot on the floor and still lose speed. The engine is also quite noisy and does not like to go above 60 mph. Do not buy this car.
