Going Strong
Although the ride is a little soft, the acceleration is adequate and I get an average of just over 25mpg. The car is comfortable and very reliable. It sat garaged for a year (twice) while I was deployed and started up again with no problems. It's getting close to 200,000mi and still running strong. Lived in NY, TX, and NC with it - handled well in the snow and did fine in the heat; heading to KS next. No major mechanical issues; I've been lightly rear-ended twice, but only scratched the bumper.
Gone for a reason
By far the best looking car i have ever owned just seems to have everything supporting the car break, brakes, struts, head gasket, and the list goes on. Very comfy, plenty of power, runs well broken.

I love my car
I have over 309 thousand miles on my car. It is still the original everything. The only things I have had to replace on this car is the water pump and the break pads. It has been great! I suffer from driving anxiety and I would trust it to go to California and back to Wisconsin with no problems. I am currently looking to get another one, due to the fact my son took this one from me. This is not your gutless Cutlass.
What an E-Bay buy.
I bought a 1994 convertible on E-Bay for $4850 US. I always wanted one of these cars and got the color I wanted - Teal. The car had spend all of its life in the south and is in near new condition with only 64,000 miles. It turns lots of heads up here in Canada - most people have never seen one before. I've put over 3,000 miles in the car and have had no problems - not a drop of oil burned Lots of performance, and great looks, I recommend this car - get one from the southern US.
Looks good on the outside but watch out.
This car looks great and is great when it is running but it breaks down a lot. The V6 3.4L DOHC has a great sound and is very powerful. The day I brought it home the A/C compressor pully froze up ruining the starter, breaking the accessory belt and another pully. Then I needed rear shocks that cost more than $400, then my front tire broke off when was driving, had to get a tow and new axal, then some new tie rods, and did I mention that the electrical system sucks. There is a drain on my battery somewhere that kills the battery overnight, so I have to unplug the battery terminal if I want it to start.
Hated to Give it Up
My Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was the best car that I have ever owned! I used it for real estate and had to trade it for a minivan due to another pregnancy (this is #4). The car had 170,000 miles on it and still drove like the day it was purchased. It had an awesome sound system, hugged the road, was very comfortable, and had lots of power in its 3.4L V6 engine. I had minor problems with the ABS system (it tended to stick when the parking brake was released) and with the electronics (the check engine light and security lights never would turn off). Also, its electronics tended to have short out easily. Other than those problems, it was a wonderful vehicle. I hated to part with it. If you get one, you will love it too!
500 miles plus
My Car with @200,450 miles on still runs strong. 500 hundred miles a week I drive commuting to work, and still feel satisfied on the way it handles, and performs.
Reliable Car(s)
I am a long-term Olds Cutlass owner. I actually own two. Both now have close to 200,000 miles on them. I have had to make very minimal repairs (hose replacements, gaskets, etc.). They run forever (or at least I've been lucky). The model has a couple blind spots and the a/c vents aren't located very well, but this is minimal.
Superb Car All Around
After owning one of these cars for numerous years, I sold it with total regret. Mine had put three teenagers through driving and their first car and was still running strong after! This is by far the best looking model of Cutlass and certainly the most reliable of Oldsmobile! Do yourself a favor and buy one....very little will have to be done to these cars mechanically.
Love my Olds
Is it a brand new car with all the bells and whistles? No! But my car has never left me stranded and it has treated us right from day 1! I will not get rid of this car till it has had enough of us! Ours has 150,000 miles and its still runs like brand new! I wish I could find another one!
Why must olds have to go?
What a great work car. Bought it with 90,000 on it. Put some maintenance into it rear struts and mounts, brakes, rotors, tranny fluid/filter, A/C recharge. Still have a little oil leak some where. Has a 3.1 good power but would like a little more. My last olds was a '86 delta 88 with a 3.8L sold it with 180,000+ on it. Still running strong. Was driving a Mercedes around germany last year. It felt good to get back in the olds had better power at high speed and handles just as good and its over 7 years old with 122,000 on it.
Why ME!!!
This vehicle reminds me of wacthing Tom Hanks in the Money Pit. Every time you touch something or push a pedal.. something else breaks. Why Me? What have i done to deserve this. In all honesty it makes it to college and back, about 600K round trip. So i did not complain untill the trans, struts, calipers, fuel pump, alternator, ignition coils, and head decided to go all at 115K. Good luck and the devil have mercy on your oldsmobile.
Best car ever had
I purchased this car when it was less than a year old and it had 54,000 miles on it. It sat in the dealers parking lot running for 2 hours waiting on a lock smith because they shut the door. I drove it one block and purchased it immediately. I drove the car every day 100-150 miles each day. It had 300,000 miles on it when the instrument panel and electronics died. Engine was still strong. I never got tired or aching no matter how long I drove. Everything was convenient. It almost drove itself. We never had to do anything to it except replace a few alternators & batteries and replace the tires 2 times. If it was still made I would have nothing else. I guess they were too good.
1994 Olds cutlass supreme 130,000 miles
intake manifold leaked a little oil. had to tightened. Rear upper strut mounts went bad., Cam sensor wire insulation went bad right at the sensor because of oil leak. Transmissoin selector switch went bad causing the car not to go in over drive. Now remember this car has 132,000 mile run great. Great gas mileage. I'm a mechanic. it's been a good car.
Owner
Bought new on 12-09-1993 now has 130,000 miles have had very little repairs to make still driving with satisfaction.
Classic well maintained vehicle
One owner garage kept mint condition, normal maintenance, oil changes, etc. Black 2 dr coupe. Only 37,000 miles on it. Runs great 6 cyl Cruise automatic, fwd, inside trunk lock, opener. Leather seats.
I wish they still built these
This is the 5th 2-door Cutlass I have owned. I previously had a sales career which required many miles of driving, I bought cars new and traded them at about 150k. Now that I have switched careers to something with hardly any travel I didn't need brand new, and I immediately went out and found myself a 1994 Cutlass Supreme, as a way to own a classic since GM saw fit to eliminate this wonderful brand. I know that I can drive this for years. Even though it's 15-years old, it's still beautiful, and I'm proud to own it.
Still Kickin'
Car has over 170K miles. It's sat in a garage for six months, 12 months, and 15 months while on deployments - and started right back up with no problems on my returns. Electrical system is problematic (but not major), and the turning radius is huge, but it is a very dependable and durable automobile. I bought an Acura as a potential repacement in 2003 - and it only has 8K (mainly from relocating from TX to NC to KS). Deploying again in June, and confident it'll be fine sitting for another year waiting for me. I had a '90 Cutlass Calais before this and was impressed enough to buy this in '98. No regrets.
Great car
Love this car. 150k miles on it and it runs great. Great fuel economy, fast, and great looking
Still pretty good
i bought it with a rebuild trans. 166,000 miles and have only had to replace brakes all way around. door handles on door are not good! broke drivers twice. but seems to still purr like a kitten. I paid $1200.00 for it. paint is great too. no peels or rust. would recommend this car.
I Love My Cutlass... This makes my 4th
I love the way it feels to sit in the soft leather and have everything at your fingertips. also the fold down rear seat and massive trunk space is very adequate for making this vehicle a very loud audio machine. Thanks to all who have helped design and produce these over the years. I have owned 4 and think that i will never get rid of my 94. ive had a 72 cutlass s, a 79 cutlass supreme and a 83 cutlass supreme brougham. what a wonderfull car. i believe that if there ever was a person who could define loyalty... your lookin them in the face... cya
bright red 94
car runs great......wish they put the 3.4 in all of them!
204,000 miles and still going strong
I bought this car in 1998 with 52000 miles on it. It has been a very reliable car, with just normal maintenance needing done. I was broad sided by a Toyota Tercel on my way home from work one day. The tercel was totaled back to the windshield. I backed by car off the curb and drove it home. It had $6000.00 worth of damage done to it. I loved the car so I had it repaired. (Insurance company covered everything) Since the repair work, you could never tell it was in an accident. Drives and handles perfect! I am looking at a 1995 Cutlass Supreme now. It only has 40,000 miles on it. The dealer is asking $6000. I am going to buy it this week.
Awesome Vehicle
Awesome Car!! Great Power from the DOHC 3.4. Actually beat a Mustang GT at highway speeds. Soft black leather provide excellent comfort. Heads Up Display is a great feature. Steering wheel controls easy to use. Handlings pretty good, though it has the turning radius of a bus. I really enjoy the styling. Have had only minor problems. Just a great car. The black exterior and black interior provides a very cool look. Have been offered 10k for the car (which is sick considering book value's under 4). Mechanically strong. Just a great car. A little tip: hit the gas a second before your opponent, itll kick just as he/she puts his/her foot down
Olds Rocks!
I've owned this car for 3.5 years and I love it. Though it's old, I've not had any serious problems with it. I love the pickup speed-it's just perfect. It'll definitely live long past all of my friends cars of similar ages. I wish Olds had never quit!
Roomy Coupe
I bought my used 1994 Cutlass Supreme Coupe as a replacement for a 1987 Buick Park Avenue. I was looking for a roomy car but I felt cramped in most of the cars that I test drove. I was surprised at the room in the Cuttlass! At 6' 6" I need loads of head, leg, and shoulder room. The Coupe fits the bill. The trunk space is wonderful, too. The Mrs. and I are very happy about this new-to-us car.
No Better Ride.
I am the original owner of a 1994 Cutlass Supreme. I would still match my car up to any newer model cars. I relocated to Chicago this past summer and the car has handled just as well in the inclement weather. My car is now approaching 90,000 miles and performs as well today as it always has. I love this car.
Great dependable car!
My car has 138,000 miles on it and it's never stalled before! The air still works awesome, the heater's great, and it has an amazing speaker system. It is a really sharp car. I got in an accident recently and spun out on ice, hitting a guardrail at 75 mph and it only needed an airbag and a headlight! This is a great, sturdy, dependable car! I definitely recommend it!
Great car; Wish GM still made them
This has been a great car for me. I bought it with 145,000 miles already on it, in only three years of use, and it is still reliable and drives like a new car.
'94 Olds Cutlass Supreme
This car is bigger than others cars I have owned. It is also the first American car I have owned. I have only had the car for about a month and I am very impressed with it so far. The 3.1 V6 has enough power for what I need. I do a lot of highway driving and find the ride to be very comfortable. Engine sound is also quiet.
So far... so good
Great car so far, It's been in the family for about two years / 25,000 miles. I have a 3.1L and I do seem to have a mysterious oil leak somewhere. It seems to loose a quart or so every 1500-2000 miles. Besides that, I have no major complaints. Nice ride and decent acceleration for a sedan
Good car!
Good car for a good price. This car is very reliable and fun to drive. It is also very accepting of audio modifications. It has an oversized trunk and 16 inch wheels. The car handles well and I have not put any money in it except for brakes. Brakes are a notorious problem in this type of car.
MR J
I've brought my 94 Olds Cutlass 3.1 from a pvt owner for $1700 h wanted @ least $2500. From the 1st months I had issues with the CHECK SOON ENGINE LIGHT.No one could find out the issues in why ,it still drove ok. It's very hard to find parts for it like in very back inside where the rear speakers are, looking like it was eatten by rats & want to see if I could get it redone some how. I had 2 water pumps,A/C issues TWICE 2 fule pumps,.Had to put in another engine it had coollet in the oil locked it up & another transmission. My AM/FM CASSTTE system didn't work[THE CASSTTE DECK] & no one has cassette tapes any more.I need my car to be REPROGRAMED to lock/unlocking the doors NEED a part to keep my trunk opened ,but no one makes it any more. It's a nice colored blue.Better watch out for engine SURGINGS I had to take it to the shop last year cause it was cutting off went making a turn or @ a STOP light or sign & everything was changed but was in the shop for over 10 months cause they had a hard time finding the issue.I do love the car otherwise
