Best-in-class performance @ lowest cost!

Best mid-size SUV in features and performance, and at the lowest cost. Better standard features and innovations than Explorer (Used to own an Explorer) or Grand Cherokee. (Trailblazer was out due to sloppy suspension and handling!) Great suspension feel with minimal body roll. Engine & transmission are strong with plenty of reserve power. Transmission is smooth-shifting and very predictable, always giving power without elevating RPM too high. The combination of engine, transmission, suspension, and braking makes the truck not feel as large as it is. This is a great truck at a competitive price. I've only driven it 700 miles, but I can't think of many things I would change.

going from a jeep cherokee to a 05' pathfinder, i thought the pathfinder would be heavier and handling would suffer. WRONG, the pathfinder handles excellent and doesn't feel like 4600lbs. you can't beat nissan build quality. the SE OFF ROAD has a beefier suspension and guard plates underneath and not to be totally rugged i got the leather package.

This 05 pathfinder is what we had been looking for and didn't realize it. We traded twice before finding this care. It gets good gas milage for a midsize suv and has nice luxury for the price. We've had minor problems from the start but have been fixed promptly. overall i would buy it again without question.

Overall, impressed with the entire package (HP/Torque, Interior, Styling and Price (bought the Pathfinder at invoice - thanks to the pricing info. on the Edmunds site!)We have had the vehicle for over 3 months and have driven approx. 7K miles. During that time, we have had the vehicle into service 3x for an "intake clatter" (sounds like a diesel) under load at 1.5K - 2.5K RPM. The dealer's service department can't remedy the problem (blames being "behind the curve" on the new 4.0 engine)which is very frustrating. Other problems were the housing of the interior brake light fell off and w-shield sprayer inoperable. I hope they can remedy the "clatter" problem. Aside from that, love the vehicle

Great SUV, mine has 74k on it and I pound on it. Everything in my car is original except the tires which wore down at 65k. Still on original brakes battery and everything else. Drives more like a truck then a car. Interior is well laid out and I haul a lot of stuff to sports tourney's etc. Never had a real problem (knock on fake burlwood). Great ride and reliable, only annoyance is the constant problems with the tire pressure sensors (o ring is too small and tears causing a small leak whenever it gets cold). Fuel economy stinks, 15mpg no matter how I drive.

Bought our 05 Pathfinder used in July '08 with about 40,000 miles on it. We are really liking it. PROs: Great performance with so-so gas mileage. I did get just over 20 miles/gal once on a 400 mile road trip though. Around town it's getting between 15 and 16. I have also towed a heavy load (around 5000 lbs) a couple of times for a couple hundred miles and it still performed well. CONS: -At about 50,000 miles, our gas gauge is working only intermittently. Sometimes it reads fine, other times it sits on "E" after a fill up. -Only other con is a heat shield or 2 on the underbody has started rattling. Over all this is a great rig with great performance and lots of room.

I went to purchase a Toyota SUV and I stop by Nissan and I just love the look of the Pathfinder. The DVD and Navigation I love and so does my little daughter. It has so much style compared to the Toyota SUV's. I am happy I decided to purchase the Pathfinder LE.

This is my 2nd Pathfinder, first being an '02. Great SUV! Drove me around in a foot and a half of snow with ease. Amazingly fast with quick pick-up. Don't let the size fool you into thinking it is going to be slow. AWESOME navigation system!! DVD Player is great for the rear passengers as well. Overall I love this truck. In the '02 Pathfinder you were able to roll down the front windows via the remote control for the alarm, now you can't, just wish they still had it work that way but its minor.

This SUV is a great vehicle. It combines the off-road ability and the comfort that my family needs when we go camping. We had looked at the BMW's Lexus' and Acura's and had found them more aimed toward on road than off road. This car has been totaly redesigned for the 2005 year and it is a must see.
