Disappointing
Purchased a 2nd owner, low miles 4x4. Vehicle was not off roaded, but had a number of extremely expensive repairs due to design/build flaws. Transmission radiator is integrated into regular radiator such that water leaks into valve body ($4,200 repair, destroyed transmission), 4x4 transfer case dead at just over 100k miles ($1,400), malfunctioning fuel level sensor ($500 drop fuel tank to fix). These are design errors I don't expect from Nissan, but based on mechanic's feedback are common with this truck which is actually built in Canada with French parts. I replaced it with a Ford Ranger and could not be happier.

No Power!
XE is severely underpowered, too much truck and not enough engine, should never have got it. Need the V6.

All-Around Great Truck
So far I've been extremely happy with my '07 Frontier. Quiet ride, zippy performance, fairly comfortable driving position. Have had only one recurring problem...malfunctioning tire pressure sensor. It was finally fixed after the third visit to the dealer. Owned a comparable Tacoma before this truck. I like my Nissan far better.
Frontier Braker$$$
Researched several brands before purchasing Frontier. Looked to be the best value for the money. Fit and finish were tight with no apparent problems. Interior entry is difficult for tall or large frame people. Seating is comfortable on short and long trips. Interior is sparten with lots of vinyl. Only one recall for crash sensor in front due to corrosion. Rear box is functional with the spray-on bed liner, lock down hooks and bed extender are a complete loss for our usage. Tires make a lot of road noise which permeates thru cabin area, but is manageable. Brakes have been a major disappointment on this vehicle, both in stopping and replacement (22000) much to premature for 25k trk
The Best-of -the-Best!
XE, kingcab, 4 cyl, 4x2, auto, bedliner, cruise, cd, priv/glass, slide-r-wind: excellent truck, tough, sporty and great on gas (23 mph in town). I chose over Ford, Toyota & Chevy. No comparison (quality + value). Daily driver. Big Nissan 4 cyl powers like the competition's 6 cyl! Rear suspension will handle heavy loads without dipping, "try that with an f150!" I've owned Dodge, Ford & Chevy but Nissan sincerely is the best thus far.
