Focus on "What matters"

2024 Chevrolet Trax 2RS 4dr SUV (1.2L 3cyl Turbo 6A)
The 2024 Trax "hits the sweet spot" packing in lots of important details which matter, and cutting costs on things that dont matter. If you are looking for an affordable, but good quality car, keep reading.
My priorities are 1)Safety 2) Value 3)Comfort 4) Looks
The Trax excels at all of these 4.
The infotainment system is by far the best in class. For example, the … backup camera is huge, has dynamic guidelines, and is crisp with great vision and resolution. The info system is also easy to setup and use.
I also LOVE the wireless Apple Carplay, and wireless charging. The Active noise cancellation seems to work well, as it is fairly quiet.
Dont let the sound of 3 cylinder 1.2 liter fool you. Its quick!
As far as fuel economy, I beat the EPA by quite a bit. I got 36mpg COMBINED city and hiway, but I am not using my car at the race track.
Within the past 5 years, I have owned 2 Hondas, (CRV and Civic), 3 Toyotas (Corolla, Camry, and Sienna) 1 Ford Fusion, and a Subaru Legacy, and the least expensive and best was the 2024 TRAX 2RS.
The Trax just does almost everything better, at lower cost, than the others I owned.
One of the best things: You can actually buy a new TRAX. Honda's, Toyotas, and Subaru's are selling "allocations" not cars, in many/most models. I dont want an "allocation", I want a car!
I love the Maverick, but dont try to buy one!
Now, the negatives:
No power Driver seat, (Power driver seat is only available in ACTIV model). and no power tailgate. Neither of these are important to me, Chevy did not compromise on safety, but I am more than willing to give up the power driver seat, power tailgate and AWD. Most people who think they need AWD do not. Sure, if you live in Alaska or high mountains where you drive in snow for 5 or 6 months of the year, you may need AWD, but for most of the rest of us, the AWD just uses more gas and is an excuse for car companies to raise the price.
