Oil burner but dealer says thats normal. Wow
Bought new july 2022. Starting using oil at 10k change. No leaks. Dealer says Mazda knows but doesnt consider it an issue unless it uses more than a quart ever 1000 miles. Are you kidding me! Traded yesterday for new Subaru Forester

Lots of luxury and "zip" for a small SUV
I like all the interior features and the highway pick-up that this model provides. And it's really sharp looking.

Really nice car
I think the highlight of the CX-30 is how it handles. We have no need for a larger SUV, and so I reviewed lots of compact models. This Mazda had the best feedback. Highest horsepower in this category. Great technology. Happy with the purchase.
Great ride
I love everything but one about this car. It has a VERY premium feel to it. Rhe interior especially. Tons of features for this price range and looks great for a crossover vehicle. The thing I dont like is the powertrain. It doesnt let you forget this is basically a gussied up economy car. With a smooth V6, it would be SO much nicer.

Good car, but Mazda blew it with the electronics
After driving the CX-30 for 3 months, there are pros and some large cons. Pros: looks good, layout is good, info system with knob works very well after some practice (more auto companies should have this), seats comfortable for short trips, handles well. Cons: A) Constant beeping as soon as the engine is turned on. Mazda dealer said this did this to the CX-30 buyers because they were too dumb to put on their seatbelts (the more expensive Mazda’s don’t do this) Easy fix is to buy a seatbelt extender or disconnect the speaker in the steering wheel. B) built in spyware – if you use Mazda connect – you are tracked, speed, location, driving habits. If you select to turn this off in the menu, then it asks you every time you start the car if you want to enable. It is bad enough big tech spying on everything, Mazda shouldn’t be one of them. C) Small gas tank. If the car averaged 40 MPG, 12 gallons would be enough. I average 29 and require frequent refilling. D) Driving position – great for short trips under 30 min. Longer drivers and you feel stuck. With the high windows, putting your arm up is difficult. E) I have been driving mini-vans (oldest is 12 years old). The CX-30 is slower, noisier (wind noise in driver window – dealer says that is normal for CX-30 & engine noise), and not nearly as comfortable on longer trips. F) Cruise control. I tried and hate the radar cruise control (lower gas milage being one of the reasons). Mazda lets you cancel this, but you have to do it each time you start the car. I think it is a safety issue when you are driving and gong to the sub-menu to turn it off. It should stay turned off. G) Electronics seems to be inconsistent – parking break doesn’t turn off 10% of the time when switching into gear and I have some odd items happen when hanging up a phone call - like music from I-Phone when I had been listening to the radio. Summary, I would not buy this again.
