Simply Amazing!!
Range, efficiency, packaging absolutely amazing! Much better than my Model S. Software has been improved significantly with upgrades. Looks very eye catching! Super comfortable seats. I always get updates every few weeks. Expect even more improvements, this car only gets better! It is the BMW M5 of EVs, they actually benchmarked the M5 when developing this car. Even after 2 years I’m excited to drive it!

A Joy to Drive
I took delivery in July (just before the price drop - oh well), but driving it has been a blast - and I just passed 10,000 miles. It handles great, and it has things my friend's Tesla doesn't - like Apple Car Play. The speed is "scary" - it reminds me of those motorcyclist who come up so fast that its easy to see a car moving in front of you with no idea you are there. I am able to charge in my garage, so local driving is no problem. I do get "charge anxiety" when taking trips out of town, and Miami Airport Parking Garage was a nightmare (no one, not even the garage employees, knew where the chargers were). Getting the max mileage depends on your driving habits, and no one, I am sure, bought this car in order to drive like a grandmother. So getting over 400 miles on one charge would be unlikely. It does not come with a spare, and that is a problem - you need to get one as I waited 2 hours for a two truck once (where the garage was maybe 5 minutes away). It's great to drive, but you do need to plan your trip if going out of town. Finding hotels etc with charging stations is a big help, especially with super charges given that the Lucid can accept the high speed chargers. I do wish the company would do better at marketing because I want it to succeed. The car gets a LOT OF ATTENTION - even at stop lights.

Car and service both exemplary
I bought the Lucid for it's styling and range, and never really thought about the beast within- 620 linear horses gives you get up and go even my 911S doesn't have. I constantly have to check my speed because the ride is so smooth. A few minor issues out of the gate, but it's a new car and a new car company. Danny, my service advisor in Natick, kept me up to date, made sure they knew what the problem was, got it fixed and it's been driving like a dream. Highly recommend!
Better with Time
At 14 months and almost 17,000 miles, our Dream Air Performance hit a Subaru WRX that made a left turn in front of us. Both cars were totaled, but we opened the doors and stepped out of the undeformed cabin with nary a scratch, ache, or pain at the time or in subsequent days. This early-production car (No. 154) went through almost a year of grueling software teething pains but was otherwise the best of the many high-performance cars I have owned in its overall balance of power, handling, ride, room, and comfort. Then, finally, the move to software version UX 2.0 and its progeny of updates has brought the software into line with our 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid (and with more features than the Plaid's software and easier access through the mix of conventional buttons and switches). Also, the Lucid remained free of the squeaks and groans that began to show up as our Model S Plaid neared its 10,000-mile mark. We so much loved the limited-run Air Dream that we replaced it with a used one (No. 395) we found at a New England dealer. The replacement car had 11,500 less miles on it, but we're busily making up for lost time. Just as with the original Air, we constantly look for excuses to take the car out for a drive -- and invariably use it when carrying adults in the capacious rear seat, something that would be a cruel imposition in the Tesla. Update: It's been almost a year since we've had the second Lucid Air Dream Performance. The software bugs of the early cars are long since gone, and the car just gets more enjoyable as new software features arrive (CarPlay, Sirius, ability to read USB music sticks, etc.). Late this year we will add another Lucid -- the Gravity SUV -- to our garage when we swap out our trusty Honda Odyssey.

Plenty to love…
I’ve had my Lucid Air Grand Touring for over one year and it just keeps getting better and better. I agree that the initial user interface was a mess. But OTA updates have been coming every 10-14 days on average and little by little, all of our concerns are being addressed. UX 2.0 was a huge improvement, Apple CarPlay has been implemented and the nav system has received numerous tweaks. But despite all the interface gains, the very best thing about this EV is the way it drives. I’ve owned numerous Japanese and German performance vehicles over the years and nothing comes close to the power, handling and ride quality of this car. Range is world class, easily 100 additional miles more than a Tesla Model S. I have the 19” wheels and all season tires for range and pothole resistance, but if I wanted more bite, summer performance 20” and 21” wheel/tire combos are available. And with its 900+v architecture, it’s capable of charging faster than basically any EV on the road. Styling and perceived luxury are very much an individual preference. I love the styling…it constantly gets looks from other drivers and pedestrians. And I admire the tastefulness of the interior. For me, a Mercedes EQS is overly glitzy and a Tesla, way too austere. Service will be an issue as long as states bow to the Auto Dealers organization and block construction of service centers, but I have had mobile service for a few minor issues (broken side mirror…we won’t be saying how that happened) and have been very pleased. Charging networks are expanding nicely. I’ve done a trip around the Finger Lakes with no charging issues. In short, I love this EV!

Best car I ever bought
Absolutely amazing, after 18 months, I’m still excited to drive this car. Software near perfect, rides excellent, very planted. Great job Lucid. And don’t listen to these Edmunds reviewers, they ranked Lucid behind the i7, Merc EV’s, what a joke of a ranking! Lucid has more space, more range, better software, better handling, cheaper- shows you their lack of knowledge about cars. Now 2 years into ownership- absolutely fabulous, lost of imprvments to softeware and more coming! Best car in the WORLD- PERIOD!

Terrible experience with Lucid…vehicle and service
My new Lucid Air Grand Touring has been in service for more than 5 weeks. It has 1800 miles. I called “roadside assistance” on a Friday evening when the vehicle became completely inoperable. Was told that some would call me on Monday. That itself is not acceptable. Then no one actually called until Wednesday. While in service, I was told that it would be a week, then another week, then another etc. Before the failure, AC didn’t work, the infotainment screen went black often with no way to reset without pulling off the road and existing the vehicle, Bluetooth connectivity did not work at all. Lucid has not offered a buyback or any other compensation for the loss if use. I have owned two Tesla’s before buying the Lucid. Wish I bought another Tesla.

Simply the best in every category Range, Performan
I purchased one of the 520 Lucid air dream additions in Eureka gold. I waited a year for it and anxiously took delivery in January 2022. This was my first electric vehicle and I own Ferrari, Lexus, Ford, Chevy, Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz cars in a building filled with 27 collectibles including a Ford GT, Ferrari testarossa, Mercedes-Benz, SL, coops, and Shelby cobras. I love this lucid and believe it’s one of the best engineer cars in the world. Yes, it does have bugs but most are on the windshield or front end. After driving at high speed the car fit in Finnish is a 7 1/2 out of 10 the performance is a solid 10 and the comfort and interior finish at 10. There are many EV cars to select from in the market now And Shirley the offerings will continue to come but this lucid air dream addition will certainly last 10 years to justify Tim vestment, and the savings and maintenance and fuel will certainly justify its value. The amount of storage in my air is equal to most SUVs and sometimes I forget it’s a sedan , as it drives is nimbly is my Ford GT from 2005 I love cars in this particular, one hacks more innovation and style into its design than any product I have ever seen. People will complain about the price or initial service glitches based on learning the ropes within a new company , but it’s clear with the Saudi Arabian backing and brilliant minds working there. This lucid company will thrive test drive one and decide. They will have a full range of cars from the hundred and $70,000 air dream addition that I have to a $45,000 car Which will be more affordable yet incorporate all the innovation that’s found it’s much more expensive brother. People forget what happened to flatscreen TVs. They started out $13-$15,000 for a plasma that was 42 inches and evolved into an OLED 85 inch panel TV for two to $3000 Lucid name this car the dream edition appropriately as this car is like a dream almost perfect with a few flaws, making it a natural fit into this world. I applaud American engineering and ingenuity. It’s been decades, since I could say that as I bought mostly German and Japanese vehicles for the last 30 years , the German cars cost a fortune to fix when the warranty expired and the Japanese cars kept working regardless of what we did to that I love my 1989 supra turbo I thought my Audi 8L was spectacular the Ford GT changed my life and the Ford GT 500 golden ticket is a work of art But this lucid is on a whole different level. I hope somebody reads this review and takes it seriously and considered buying a car that they love every day two weeks ago I went to bed and woke up the next day to find my entire dashboard change position with switch is more conveniently located in Apple CarPlay on the screen , all this update happens every 2 to 3 weeks with great engineers continuing to improve the overall operation of the car and seamlessly bringing me the updates with total convenience. Take a test drive.

Has potential
The service is atrocious. I have called and have not had anyone respond for weeks. I was told problems would be resolved by update months ago. The car drives really well but getting into the car is difficult because of the low roof line. There is a large blind spot as mentioned in the other reviews. I am looking to trade it in since Lucid doesn't offer a buyback program. It's definitely overpriced taking everything into consideration.

Startup company that you cannot rely on!
I was inspired by Lucid Design and picked Lucid Air over Mercedes EQS and Tesla model S. The first days were pretty awesome, but After 40 days of driving my Lucid, the rear driver side tire popped in freeway, and the car started smocking. I went through 30 seconds of super stressful situation and pulled over. The Tire and rim got separated and all the brake harnessing was destroyed and deep scratches and damages to the quarter panel. Their service center team blamed on Pirelli tire and said something, somewhere, somehow hit my tire. They threw away the damaged tire with no root cause investigations. The tire damaged the quarter panel interior and body shop work cost was $12000. The fact that Lucid service team did not distinguish between a flat tire case and explosion of a tire is absolutely mind blowing. Lucid exclusively work with one body shop and my car was parked there for 3 weeks for cost estimate. After maxing out my insurance coverage they even do not provide Loaner car for their delay process and millions of other issues. That was my experience with Lucid that I liked to share with my network. Please do not trust the startup companies like Lucid. They are not reliable and have zero support for you. I wish I had made a better decision.
Most fun ever
I decided to go all in on the EV craze and I love every day I’m in my Lucid Air Touring. Five months and 1700 miles later the excitement and fun has not faded. It just feels so safe and special to drive this vehicle at whatever speed you fancy. Now we are at 6000 miles and all is well. Original review still stands.

Love this car. I decided to try out an EV just because I liked the looks of the car, my BMW M5 was getting a little old and my wife hated the loud exhaust. The car when I got it is not the car I have today. First, I was one of the first gray color deliveries. I did not really have many fit & finish issues. Any I did have were addressed at my home by mobile service as have any services issues since. Knocking on wood here, but I have not had many at all. The software is better and is on-par with my BMW/Mercedes. It just takes using it to be more comfortable. I personally do not like the software in my wife's Mercedes, but we manage. I liked my BMW the best, but it wasn't perfect either and my wife hates it, but it really comes down to the fact that you tend to like what you use the most and are comfortable with. I only charge at home and avoid taking the car on trips due to the lack of chargers or, more accurately, the lack of their reliability combined with scarcity. That is not the car's fault. I also notice there being a lack of basic EV awareness on charger expectations. You really are not supposed to wait for the car to charge to 100%. The speed tends to be better when starting from a relatively low state of charge and the curve slows down as the charge progresses. Many EV owners really need more basic lessons to establish appropriate expectations. I am not totally sold on EV, would NEVER be an EV-only household, but I sure am having fun with this one.

I recently had the pleasure of test driving the new Lucid EV car and I was thoroughly impressed. The car was incredibly smooth and quiet to drive, with a powerful and responsive electric engine. The interior was luxurious and comfortable, with plenty of legroom and headroom. The car also featured a range of advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automated emergency braking. I was also impressed by the car's impressive range of up to 400 miles on a single charge. Overall, the Lucid EV car is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a luxurious, eco-friendly, and powerful electric vehicle. Highly recommended!

Disappointing service
It took several attempts and months to get car serviced properly. Many calls were.not returned It seems they are finally getting their act together but it seems for the early purchasers it has been a struggle. Car can get extremely hot in the sun and a.c. is not string enough to cool car down fast enough. Fast charging a great benefit but doesn't negate other issues as weak support. I was told that there is a 50% depreciation in the Sold it couldn't take continuous problems.

I like the car for looks and rarity. Otherwise A DISGRACE! Serviced and repaired at least 11 TIMES IN ONE YEAR! Should be out of business! Also own a Tesla S, not luxury, but far better software. Stock should be ZERO!!!
It's not selling because it's not a $160K car
Rented one of these (Grand Touring model) last weekend and I can say exactly why they're not selling: it's simply not a $160K car. Software was buggy. Radio was junk. Navigation was terrible, and no option to use Android Auto or Apple Car Play. No wifi hotspot onboard. A/C can't keep up with the heat coming in through the full canopy glass roof. Changing user profiles on the car disables the entire vehicle for a good 30 seconds. Button layout and switchgear is not user friendly. Pirelli tires were already blistered in two spots after <4K miles. Charging support is extremely weak - they brag about the 900V architecture but that's useless unless you have FUNCTIONING hyper-fast chargers everywhere, which electrify America doesn't. New car smell was so noxious my whole family felt car sick after an hour in the thing. Braking regeneration is so aggressive it throws you into the dash anytime you let off the accelerator. Driver assist features jerk you all over the lane so much I turned them off. A 2019 Benz S-class can be easily had for $70K, so save yourself $90K.

Better than a Tesla comfort-wise
Drives a little better than a Tesla, but both are not near as comfortable as the gas powered Mercedes S500, or even the Audi A8, or going further down the list, not as smooth as the Genesis' luxury sedan
The best of the luxury EVs
I love EVs - have had two Tesla’s and a BMW and the Lucid is my favorite. Beats the Teslas in every way, interior is far more luxurious and spacious and the exterior and overall styling is more modern. The tech that went into the power train is amazing and beats any EV out there. If you’re in the market for a luxury EV you’d be missing out if you didn’t check out a Lucid.

18months of Bliss with my Lucid Air GT
I expected some issues since this is a new car from a new company, I wasn't disappointed. What surprised me was how quickly and frequently those OTA updates arrived to fix things. I do long road trips, often through more rural areas. Thanks to its long range, I can go wihere other EVs fear to tread. The car is comfortable, and easy to drive. My only negative experience was an act of vandalism in Trump country. Service has been quick and responsive. Best vehicle I've owned so I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

Charging time is outrageous
Going on a trip, allow up to days extra time for charging. You must also allow for traffic. Especially stop and go. Would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. Good for local use only. Overpriced overrated...
