While built on the Explorer chasis the ride and handling are nothing like it. I owned Explorers for many years before buying the Aviator, this vehicle has all the features of an Explorer and then some.

Was considering Lexus, or Infiniti, until I drove this. I was pleanantly surprised. More room than the others, yet handles like a sport sedan. Lots luxury and power and a real cruiser. Though premium fuel is recommended, it runs great on regular(87). Averaging just under 17 mpg all around, so I'm pleased considering how much power it has and how much fun it is to drive. I couldn't be happier.

Just bought 2wd premium with all the options for 43,000. Rides great- has awesome power. If your looking for a mid-sized luxery SUV, you have to check out the Aviator. Helpful hint- don't buy from Gary Davis Lincoln in Memphis,TN. Bad service.
