Used 2018 Lexus ES 350 Consumer Reviews
Very satisfied!
Extremely impressed with my first Lexus. Very comfortable daily commuter. The car is hush quiet and the standard sound system is amazing.

The Japanese Buick" is a winner
This is my 4th Lexus. Two ESs and one GS before the current car. All are reliable. Take it to the bank. This '17 Es is very full featured, with nav, etc and i got the panoramic roof and the 18 inch upgrade wheels. It's noticeably faster on acceleration than my 2012 ES , yet it has the same 3.5 ltr v6, and I'm not sure why. Fit and finish are very good and the extra room the '17 has over the '12, primarily in the back seat is nice. Handling is typical Lexus, good but not great, but good enough that you can throw it around a bit, but not too much. All in all, a good car and worth the money. I started out wanting a BMW 5 and became convinced that this car is a better value than it and than the GS as well. would buy again. UPDATE 9/12/19. I like the car even more. Silky smooth ride and 30-31 mpg on the hwy at 75 mph.

It's not a hi performance car. It's extremely quiet and smoothness is very good. Technology is too complicated and distracting. The more you use it however, the easier it gets, especially if you can master the speech commands. Its Mark Levinson audio system is fantastic. Quality is evident in exterior paint, interior seating with adequate room for a 6'2" driver. Still bump my head occasionally on door opening, when exiting or entering drivers seat. I don't care for fake leather. Looks cheap in the cabin. However, it fulfills its entry level luxury car descriptions. I bought a Ultra Luxury package with panoramic roof, with all options offered, which overcame many of its shortcomings. I would not be happy with the ES350 equipped with a base or near base option package. My wife who is the main driver, shares my feelings on the technology, and is getting the hang of it. If you've ever owned a true luxury sedan, the Lexus ES350 is certainly a step down, but makes up for it with value, dependability, low maintenance cost, and low fuel cost. I still have my 1997 ES300. Interior is genuine leather and overall interior quality on the 1997 was much better. Still runs good and has about 285,000 miles. It’s obvious that car manufactures today are making cars lighter in weight, using cheaper quality materials, and using options and accessories to boost their profits. After 54,000 miles and 7 yrs of ownership my 2017 vehicle still looks and performs like new. Very happy with this purchase with no complaints and will probably give it to my great grandson when he has his 16th birthday in 5 more years. I gave his dad my 1997 lexus.

ES 350 most reliable car you can buy.
I test drove the BMW 320 and 520, Acura TLX and Volvo S90. Hands down the Lexus had the best ride, reliability and value for the price. I love the technology and quality leather.

Dangerous Voice Recognition and Navigation System
Navigation very mixed. Hard to set and control. Dumb routes sometimes. Miss interprets voice commands frequently. Using own phone probably better. Two year update: Voice recognition for navigation or hands free phone at best, mostly wrong to at worst, useless. Third year update: I'm further downgrading the voice recognition and navigation system to dangerous. By having to constantly cancel and correct its incorrect recognition of commands, the system creates a distraction plus anger. Lexus's refusal to do any upgrades to improve performance is also a large negative on car and company. I've removed a star. Fourth year review. The danger and aggregation of the voice recognition has gotten worse it seems. To make a hands free phone call takes five tries sometimes. The things it comes up with are really, really stupid they are so far off base. Compared to Alexa and Google voice recognition really show how pathetic Lexus's system is. Goodbye another star.
