My husband and I were taking a trip from Texas to Florida on vacation on Sept 2, 2021. At 5 p.m. on a state road in Mississippi a large deer jumped over a bridge rail and ran in front of us; we were going the speed limit which was 65 mile per hour. Our Velar handled well, but the impact damaged the radiator. We sat on the side of the road over 2 hours (it was turning dark)--finally Road Side assistance called us and told us that no one was coming. We found out later they did not have a contract in that area--we were about 60 miles from Mobile. They would not pay anyone in that area to come and get us--instead they let us be stranded. There were no rental cars available in a 2 state area-- we were stranded and had to call the police. The tow truck got there about 8:30 pm and took us to the closest small hotel. Someone had to drive 7 hours to get us. This was not the worst part. It is now September 7, 2022 and I still do not have my vehicle back. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau, Texas State Attorney General, looked into state lemon laws through a lawyer and contacted Landrover Corporate last spring. My latest update on September 6th from LandRover corporate was Landrover has no idea when my parts will be available. My advisor at the body shop which is a LandRover approved shop (if there is aluminum damage like mine had you have to have the work done at one of these shops--there is one every 3-4 hours from each other in my area). Mine has several LandRovers that have been there 15 months or more. I have no idea when I will get my vehicle back but I have paid over $14,000 for a vehicle I do not have. LandRover does not tell you if you get in an accident (which was not our fault) that it has to go to a LandRover insured shop---many insurance companies will not pay for it to be towed that far since the shops are spread out through the US. Mine luckily did pay for it but I had to fight it. In addition, they do not tell you if you get in an accident you will not have your car for over a year. The excuse has been COVID but it is two years later. My point is if you cannot provide parts for a vehicle in a reasonable amount of time, then it is unethical to sell them. One thing I heard was if you can afford a LandRover you can afford to pay $14,0000 for nothing. That is not the case--LandRover does have entry level vehicles. DO NOT BUY a LANDROVER! Getting parts for them has always been very difficult but this is ludicrous. Realize if you buy one you may be without a vehicle a year or more and have to buy another vehicle while you are paying on one you do not have. UPDATE. We got it back after 18 months. Both batteries died. The large one had to be replaced but the small one could not be….it is on back order indefinitely. From sitting so long something happened to the rear brake light so it had to be replaced while we were waiting. Thank heavens they had that part. We brought it back home. The LandRover dealership would not buy it back after this whole debacle. We sold it on Carvana and had to pay $1300 to get out of it because even though it had less than 20;000 miles, it was now two model years older than when the accident occurred. Worse consumer experience ever. Land Rover does not care about its customers. Overall we lost $22,000 Paying for something we did not have and we had to buy another vehicle and have three car payments.

WORST CAR & CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUYER BEWARE

Bought this car October 2018, the problems began within a year. Most of the issues are electronic - screen, fan, error messages, etc. The latest issue was when I took the car in for a "Check-Engine" light on issue. It has been in the Jaguar Land Rover Charlotte shop for FIVE months, and they cannot fix the Check Engine light. Finally, I was told that just live with it and only bring it in if it "FLASHES". I am very disappointed with the JLR organization and JLR Charlotte - worst service ever. Please do yourself a favor look elsewhere. There are better vehicles and service providers.

I just got off the phone with LAND ROVER USA. My engine blew up on the highway about two weeks ago! I have done all the maintenance on this vehicle since it was new. They said, "At this time, we cannot assist you with any help on a new engine! Bedford Land Rover in NH said a new engine will cost 20k! I will never buy another Range Rover!! This is sickening to me!

Amazing car

I bought this car in July 2020 and after 4 years on the road and almost 50K miles, I can honestly say that this is an amazing car. Never had any problem with any piece of technology in the car. Seats are little on the firmer side which I dont appreciate but it is personal choice. Apple car play is little troublesome and doesn't work some times but unplugging and replugging has solved the issue every time and yes, please use OEM apple cables for apple car play. For updates, my car does it automatically overnight if there is an update available. Never had any trouble with it. I never thought i would need two screens in a car but having two screens make things so much easier. Most of the controls i need and use on a daily basis are at the lower screen which keeps upper screen available all the time for maps or multimedia. Meridian speakers sound amazing and i can listen them all day long. More than enough space to carry all the luggage you need for couple weeks on the road and still carry 5 passengers.

We have owned our 2019 Velar for a year-and-a-half only has about 15,000 miles. It's been in the shop seven or eight times. For updates a failed water pump at 2,000 miles at 15,000 miles a failed Hub and bearing in the front and Numerous issues with updates I had always heard Range Rovers were beautiful but a disaster to own wow did we learn our lesson . I will never own another one of these products again.
