On board GPS would be nice. Have to move up to top price model to get it. Over 94700 miles. No issues. Get up to 25.5mpg cruising on the highway. Solid vehicle. Changing burned out light bulbs is a pain, however. Had to get a mechanic to do it.

3 Major Flaws

1. Rear wheels slip when starting off on wet and damp road. 2. Gas mileage is no where near what is advertised and what the instrument panel calculates. Even using the ECO setting, the mileage is 8% to 14% less than computer's figure and considerably less than EPA estimates. 3. There are a minimum of five blind spots none of which are eliminated by cameras. Finally, the climate control system is not intuitive and requires resetting because it changes.

As for the sales reps everyone was welcoming but as for the KIA name in general the vehicles suck! My husband bought a 2016 KIA Sedona not even a year old yet and it seems like I've gone to get it services every month. First off the vehicle was full of little ants from being under a tree at the dealer and nothing was done about it then about a week after we purchased it we got some heavy rain and the water was leaking into the back tailgate, I took it in for service twice before they could figure out what was wrong with it. So now my van smells humid :-( on top of that they put a scratch on the tailgate and wanted me to take it back a third time to buff it out and eliminate the odor inside, I was already there for over 3 hours and I understand they are busy but my issue should of been a priority especially with me living 2 1/2 hours away so nothing was ever done about that. Well to continue after about a month my husband noticed that the navigation screen was pushed in from one side and popping out from the other side so I took it in for service and they said some screws were loose. Then one day my kids wanted to watch a movie on the DVD player and when they tried lifting the screen it was jammed again I took it in for service and they said some screws were loose that didn't allow it to open back up. I recently just took it in again because the traction light was coming on and the brakes would make a cracking sound and jam up, I was told the hubs needed to be replaced so they ordered parts and I have to go in once more to get them put on. I'm sorry but their service sucks and I will never buy a KIA again or recommend it to anyone. They need to better prioritize their customer service and I believe I deserved a full tank of gas and complimentary detailing for missing work and driving 2 1/2 hours to and from the dealer numerous times for non sense issue that a brand new vehicle shouldn't be having! To add to my issues with Kia the lights on the interior of the van don't work either, omg idk what's next or if it's even safe to drive this Sedona anymore.

Superior Safety Sedona

Kia Sedona is a great value for the money in comparison to similar vehicles. Having a family size of 8 the cargo space and storage is great!!! Gas mileage is also good in comparison to similar vehicles. The Sedona is equipped with great safety features such as side curtain air bags, back up camera, and proximity audible alarms for rear and front. For the price and safety features you can't beat a Kia Sedona!!!!

Drive is smooth and comfortable. We enjoy the heated and cooled seats. The navigation system isn't as smart as Waze but it does the job in a pinch.

My wife and I bought a van because we had a third kid on the way. We looked at the Dodge Caravan (before the big 2016 or 2017 update), Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna. The Caravan was fun to drive, but we didn’t see it being a good long term vehicle. The Honda and the Toyota were awesome, but way more expensive. We were about to settle on the Honda when we decided to try the Kia. We were pleasantly surprised! It’s a comfortable van to drive and ride in. I have some things I like and things I don’t though. Like: 1) Ride quality 2) Price 3) The interior is cheap, but still looks good. 4) It’s been reliable for the 2 years we’ve had it so far. Dislike: 1) gas mileage isn’t as good as other vans 2) The middle row seats can’t be removed and don’t stow away in a good position to allow for as much storage space as other vans. 3) The radio technology is “meh...”. It does what it is supposed to, but it’s not the best in the world. Ultimately, my wife and I knew we weren’t getting the latest and greatest van on the market. BUT, our bank account is pretty happy with us. We take good care of it and it takes care of us. It does what we need it to do, and we enjoy driving it.

I have owned the car for two weeks. It rides nice and has great gas mileage. I wish it had a few more bells and whistles. But it is a basic good minivan that fits my family.

I absolutely LOVE this minivan. I test drive the 18 Sienna, did not drive the Odyssey because I don't like the look. Drove a dodge. This Sedona beats them all in comfort, acceleration, cargo space, passenger leg room, everything. It's bigger than I was used to. 2002 Sienna vs 16 Sedona in the garage was like a pair of 12's vs 10's in a sz 13 shoe box. Lol! I love that I can fold the mirrors in with the touch of a button to be able to get into the garage. It's that tight! We have hubby's Camry & all his tool stuff in there as well. It's always been tight, now it's tighter! I can fit 8' sticks of lumber in the back! It's 8' from the door to the back of my seat. AMAZING! I keep the tear seats folded down always & put down a rubber mat to protect it. Amazon has great tools to get what fits. The middle seats slide back to allow for log legged humans, which at 6'3 my 15 year old was no longer able to ride comfortably in our Sienna for long road trips. The middle seat folks down so the have holders for drinks. There seems to be holders all over really! It lacks a USB plug in the back, which surprised me. Looking into installing one in the console between the front seats for the rear. Would be pretty easy to do. The van did not come with cross bars for the roof rack. Something I miss that me Sienna had. We will be installing those shortly. My only true gripe about the van is the MPG. The dash lies. It's always 1 to 2 miles higher per gallon than the actual. The most ice ever got out of it, even with all highway driving, was 22mpg. I leave off the eco drive though, so maybe that is causing worse mileage than quoted. When I accidentally press the button by setting my purse on it the van drives really sluggish. When I first did it I though the van was having an engine malfunction! My new van! Once I realized what it was I was so relieved! Over all super happy with our purchase. It has 33k mi currently.

Design flaw?

I purchased a 2017 Kia Sedona, brand new, June of 2017. I put the very first miles on it. March of 2020 I was advised my tires were cupping... @ 36k miles. I’ve kept regular maintenance on my car always, including tire rotations... I replaced the tires in July of 2020, with alignment. When asked why, I was told it was primarily due to all the weight being in the front..mechanic called it a design flaw by Kia for this model. Was told today that my tires are cupping AGAIN. This is my 3rd Kia owned and I have never experienced problems with the price 2 which were both Sorento’s. Tend to believe the tech was right. EXTREMELY Upset that again my tires are going bad after 8 months (technically 6 because it was not driven for 2 months this year due to COVID).
