AGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!
Never buying another! Relay switch, Window regulator just plays out, A/C has been totally redone, CD player replaced and still not working right, and the gauges will just flicker and the jeep eventually just dies on us. Has been in shop 4 times for this and well, obviously 4x's...they can't seem to find what is wrong. 2003 only 54,000 miles on it!! We wanted a reliable SUV that we could take traveling in and I don't trust it.
Great Overland
I love to drive this vehicle. It feels like a kid wanting to play. Hit the gas and you're off to a race track. It's got enough torque to sink you into the seat. Very fun to drive! Everybody has to realize that this is an SUV and it isn't supposed to corner like a race car. All in all I think it does just fine.

Awesome Grand Cherokee Limited
Went from a 97 Laredo to the 2003 Limited. Absolutely no comparison between the vehicles, ride, performance, etc. The v8 has great power and excellent handling. The quadra drive kicks in automatically even in the rain. Love the vehicle!!!
staller!
Extremely comfortable, but terrible car overall. I should have listened to the reviews before I bought it - it kept stalling on me, the dealers don't know what to do, and it's too late to declare it a lemon. What a terrible vehicle - BEWARE! Chrysler/Jeep has not completely worked out all the kinks in this car, most importantly with the engine. This car is extremely dangerous to drive - I stalled out once on the highway and once in the middle of traffic, other times at the bank or while turning to park my car. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE - the ridiculous maintenance fees are bad in themselves, but even worse when they don't fix the problem.
It's come a long way!
I've had three previous Jeep Grand Cherokees and this one, by far, it the best. People are AMAZED by the comfort of the seats, the ride, the power, and it's true advantage in the snow (QuadraDrive System). Although I had problems with 1999 and 2000 models, the 2002/2003 has come a long way. For the money, it needs some updated "toys" in the interior to compete with the BMW/Mercedes/Lexus most notably integrated GPS, but it's coming. Drive it! If you don't, you'll be excluding one of the most comfortable SUVs on the market. As for gas mileage - we just drove from CT to Florida and averaged 19.2MPG the entire trip. Excellent for a high- output V-8.
