Used 2006 Jeep Commander Consumer Reviews
Worth all that money?
I fell in love with the model on the showroom floor. Refused to pay $820 for the chrome wheels; didn't need the hemi engine; didn't want the back seat entertainment system. LOVE the heated leather front seats. Lots of extras I'm still learning to use, but they are worth the cost. The car runs so quiet I have to listen to be sure it cranked. Cruises powerfully at 80 with great road handling in the curves. Only bad thing is it needs a bigger gas tank. I want to go about 350 miles between fill ups. Gets around 17 on the interstate, better if I go slower. Highly recommend this model. Plus I feel important driving this impressive SUV.
Great Jeep
This Jeep rocks! It handles the rough roads in and around New Orleans as easily as smooth Interstates. Comfy interior, quality design and materials, great fit and finish, smooth quiet ride and V8 Hemi power with a classic Jeep look. Too many features to praise including the auto a/c, which took a bit to understand, but now absolutely love it! The regular gas does help mitigate the v8's thirst, but the Jeep is so fun to drive I don't even worry about the gas. Such a quality ride. Keep placing the design and quality of this Jeep into all of your Chrysler , Dodge and Jeep products and I think you'll have no problems selling vehicles.

Never buy another Jeep
Was so excited to buy this thing and after 2500 miles I realized I made a HUGE mistake. Been in the shop 5 times, 20% of the time since purchase. Recurring transmission issue, windshield replaced and resealed numerous times, windows not functioning properly, interior cloth CHEAP and stains with water, brakes squeak and warning light flashes off and on and terrible gas mileage. Chrysler basically has not accepted responsibility and I was told to pursue the lemon law in Texas.
Good Jeep
Bought my used 2006 Jeep in 2014 with 110k on it. Driven it for 10k miles and no problems yet. Incredibly smooth ride and a lot of boost from the engine. Very happy with it. Gets a ton of compliments when I pull up. Down side is the horrible gas mileage. Welcome to Jeeps though. Transmission also concerns me but no real problems yet. Holding up well at 122k miles. I'd recommend this car but be wary of gas mileage. Just take care of it and it will take care of you.
Satsified Buyer
I wanted the feel of a SUV but something not as large, I traded my Expedition in for the Commander and I am very satisfied with the vehicle.
