I am very pleased with My Cherokee. I would strongly recommend anyone who buys a Cherokee to go for the Trailhawk. It is a very cool looking ride and it is extremely capable off road. The Trailhawk has standard: all terrain tires, 1 inch lift with off road suspension, 3.2 L V6, 4WD low with Locking rear diff. Every Cherokee of all trims come standard with very impressive headlights. Very bright at night, and a cool LED strip for daytime.

This is my first suv and first brand new vehicle. I went with Jeep because I new I wanted a suv for once I figured they been in the off road business the longest so I went with em. I drove on snow and ice on my second day of owning it NEVER once lost traction I was really surprised new tires help I guess but if I was ever slipping just driving in regular auto mode it was never noticeable. I only got 70 miles on it still I know I’m giving a review way too soon. But I’m glad I went with the 3.2 v6 because nothing but good reviews unlike the 2.4. It’s fun to drive and love the huge sun roof and lighting interior when driving at night. Hope it’s good for me because I’m good with all my vehicles upkeep and routine maintenance wise. I’m not fat I’m just taller and bigger then most men and my butt is a bit too big for the front seats. That’s about the only thing wrong with it I can find so far.

Spewing oil within 20 minutes of purchase...

I got a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and took it for a drive across town to a friends house immediately after purchase. The vehicle had 25,000 miles on it. Made it around the block from my friends house and it started smoking from the hood and smelled like burning oil. Got there and opened up the hood to find oil all over the hood, the engine, the front of the jeep...coolant was nearly gone and there was no oil in it. Got more oil, filled it up and turned on the jeep with hood up to find oil spewing from a gasket all over the engine. Got it towed to a dealership and before even assessing it he said the alignment is also very off. I told them to not even fix it as I was going to be using the 7 day money back guarantee and giving it back to the dealership from where I purchased it. So...I had a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for 20 minutes before it broke down...I am not exaggerating here. :-/

Yes, it drives great and off-road is most definitely a major highlight, but it’s by far the hardest car to work on I’ve ever had. You can tell they did really bad things to get you into the shop. If I didn’t do my own work, I would have sunk minimum $5k in one year. I’m selling it asap and going back to Subaru. MUCH more reliable and easier to work on.

Can't Trust Driving it

Only 40,000 Km (15,500 miles) and it's dead in the water. The PTU failed on it. It's now been over a month waiting for repairs. My problem now is that I cannot trust driving this car because of the failure. I do camping - 50-100miles in the bush - can't trust using this car because of this failure. It may look pretty - but it is way more devilish that that. Just cant' trust Jeeps. UPDATE: I purchased this Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk - was supposed to be my last car - to last me a while. As it turns out - it has been nothing more that problems after problems. First the Steering column needed replacing at 3,000 km. Then the front rotors needed replacement after 12,000 km (rusted out) Then at 46,000 km - the rear PTU failed - rusted from within the unit. It was in the shop from May until the end of August. And still not repaired. Gave up and bought a Mazda.
