Lovely ornament
Dont do it. They are beutiful. A dream to drive. Seem inexpensive compared to how they look. If you dont over pay on sticker it could mean something is wrong. Low mileage 20 yrs after mfg could be a sign of early problems and low use. Plastic chips and fades on dash. Transmition way more than car value to replace. Headliner fsils. Fuel pump 1k to replace. Struts and suspensiom expensive. Vents on dash fade and crack too. Run.
Nothing to fear from this Jag
As a former Lexus owner, when I bought this Jag, I was prepared for the worst, mechanically. After over three years - to my absolute pleasure - this has been and remains a phenomenal vehicle - mechanically and visually. I would purchase another without hesitation when that time comes. During my ownership, I've only had one issue. A rear window belt snapped and had to be replaced. Easily done at the dealership...and not too obnoxiously priced. So far, the quality is right on par with the Lexus...but with much better performance and more style.
Rave for Jag S
I have had a excellent experience with both this dealer and with the vehicle itself. This jag makes you want to drive everywhere! Even young people give me thimbs up when they walk past me at a stop light! I've had only a few minor problems with this pre-owned beauty, all covered under warranty, and no hassles about it at all. I'll definitely buy another one.
do not judge car by its goods looks
totally disappointing in reliability. constant trip to the shop ... water pump , air conditioning ,door opening problems . never again!
2000 S Type
The console storage is small, there are too many squeeks and rattles for a car of this price, and the rear window motor gave out with less than 20,000 miles. The car handling is excellent for a vehicle of this size, acceleration is quick and with the upgraded tires wet weather handling is very firm. I was hit on the passenger side by a Ford F350 duel wheel pick-up with very little impact into the passenger compartment. The car is very sturdy. No passenger injuries at all. Unfortunately, it cost $8000. to repair my car, and took over a month to get the parts. I still consider this a great car for the price!
