All in all, so far so good
All in all so far so good. I have owned 40 cars, and this is a very solid car. My only complaints so far. the noise of the engine while outside of the car idling (although inside you cant hear it), and the chrome rings on the air vents reflecting in the windows. In other words, small things. Only been getting 24 mpg so far... but mainly city, with an average speed of 30 mph.. so good in my opinion. Everything is very well laid out, easy to fine, and the vehicle is deceptively big. much more room inside than you would think from the outside. The stiffer suspension than most CUV's is nice, and you can really feel the weight (or lack there of) compared with other similar vehicles. A+ all around
Fun New Tuscon 2010
I looked at a used Lexus hybrid, the Honda CRV and a used Mercedes M class and am delighted with the choice of the Tuscon. I love the way it looks and feels. We also have a Mercedes CLK in our household but needed a practical SUV but didn't want a gas guzzler. When I spotted the Tuscon I fell in love. Gas mileage, style and warranty tipped me in. I opted for the Limited, with leather but not the premium...I prefer using portable gps, and don't need a sunroof so the premium features aren't important to me.

Hate it already
Bought a loaded limited awd couple of months ago and can't stand it already the ride is horrible around town can feel every bump and imperfection in the road on the highway it's not that bad.The tranny isn't very good either the 2nd to 3rd gear upshift jolts the car into gear very rough but only those 2 gears for some reason had it to 2 dealers now and they can feel it but they have driven othrs on the lot that do the same thing and said that's just the way they shift??? I've been driving for 21 yrs and had many cars and never had 1 shift like that unless the tranny or computer were bad!!! The bluetooth is horrible also the other person cannot here you very well.Going to look elsewhere soon
Yuk!
I bought the 2010 ix35 thinking it would blow my mind like the reviews say but I must say am disappointed. The car came with just two airbags and wait for it, A 4 SPEED TRANNY. The ride is rough, at idle and on the high way. Depress the accelerator and the car lags before picking up. Own a sonata 2.0 which is sluggish. will not buy another Hyundai
6 months and happy for the most part
I have now had this car for 6 months and 7,600 miles. I love it but it does have some flaws. The mileage is not what it's rated at all. It's actually 2-3 gallons lower on city as well as hwy. I did have a bad battery and the car had to be towed twice in the first week before they replaced it. The biggest gripe with the car is the bluetooth. It's totally lame. I can get good reception for the most part but the party on the other end only can only hear decently on "outstanding roads when driving in little or no traffic". When does that ever happen. The bluetooth is a totally cheap unit and is a burr under my skin. It's probably the reason I won't keep the car more than a couple of years
