2007 Sonata
Have had this car nearly a year now & can`t say enough good things about it. Drive is whisper quiet, engine seems to have plenty of power for me. Also the longer I drive it the better the gas mileage gets. I had my mind made up to buy a Honda Accord (own a CRV & previously an Accord)but the rude sales mgr. & $4,000. extra made me go for this car.
My sonata is rusting after a year
I have a 4cycl Hyundai sonata 2.4 liter, when I first purchase the vehicle it had only 20 miles on it after a year I have over 42000 miles on the vehicle, it is a fun vehicle to drive and it handle very well on long trips, the vehicle does not burn much gas what so ever, the only problem I have with this vehicle at this time is that it is rusting out the rims and the hood of the car, this should not be happening to a one year old car.

Beware with Dealers
I have owned two Sonatas, 02' and 07'both have given me adecuated performance as I find the quality above normal, however, Even though not all dealers are at fault I have found a couple of dealers in upstate NY to be lacking, know how when it comes to trouble shooting issues with both of my vehicles to the point I don't bring my vehicle to them, only if absolutely necessary. The resale value is pathetic to say the least, even thou dealers wants premium price used. next time a BMW is more apropiated.
Generally satisfied
As a former Toyota owner, I took a chance and went to the Hyundai mainly because a comparably equipped Camry was $6000 more. The car has performed well. No brake problems. At my last service my local mechanic said that the brakes front and back were only 50% worn at over 40,000 miles. The styling is attractive, nice large trunk area and plenty of back seat room. . I still have the original Michelin tires and they have plenty left. Gas mileage is as advertised offering about 30 mpg with the V-6 when driving at or near speed limits on the freeway. Service at the dealership has been good. Have had 1 problem with a rattle in the windshield. Three attempts to fix it have not worked.
Fantastic Economy Sedan
I purchased my 2007 Sonata in August of 2006 and it has been to Canada twice (I live in New Jersey) Tennessee, and around New York City on numerous occasions. The gas mileage has been outstanding, usually averaging 34 MPG on the long trips and around 25 MPG locally and in the city. The trunk is ENORMOUS, and the rear seat has plenty of room for adults, including those over 6 feet tall. It's reasonably comfortable and probably the best "bang for your buck" mid-sized sedan on the market.
