Edmunds' Josh Sadlier takes you on a walk around Hyundai's latest green car, the 2017 Ioniq Hybrid. He goes over specs, design, the interior and more.
Hyundai estimates that the plug-in Ioniq will be capable of travelling 25 miles on electricity alone, besting the new Prius Prime, but falling well short of the Chevrolet Volt. Its plug-in battery is also substantially larger than that of the regular hybrid (8.9 kWh versus 1.56), while its electric motor is more powerful. The Ioniq Electric, meanwhile, has an estimated driving range of 110 miles, which would be one of the longest ranges among EVs not named Tesla. It will have a 28 kWh battery.
