An adult's go-cart
I thought growing older meant giving up the things of youth..not true. This baby is so much fun to drive it reminds me of my early teens running around my neighborhood in my A-bomb engined go-cart. A great value, I bought mine tax, license, delivery , everything for $33,153. Great handling, minimalist but nice interior.
Should've bought it earlier!
Wow was I impressed when I happened to drive my friends 2000 S2000! I had a Audi A4 and well I was really impressed with the handling and the fun it was to push the car to it's limits. I knew I had to trade my Audi in. The '04 S2000 was the best thing I've gotten so far. Can't wait until the warmer temperatures! Can't really believe I didn't get it sooner!

yeah
This car is so cool. I love it, i drive it all the time and its great on gas and it handles so well not to mention that it looks fantastic.
The Ride of My Life
The minute I saw this car on the road I had to have it. I called my brother (he works at a Honda dealership out of town) and asked the price and then told him to wrap it up and deliver it. From the day I took delivery, it has been the ride of my life.
my old mans toy
I am 58 years old and retired, growing up I raced motorcycles in motorcross etc. I live in South Florida and I've wanted another motorcycle for some time but this state is full of old retired people (like me) and lots don't drive well and they run motorcyclist down like dogs I test drove a lot of sports cars and had given up on finding the acceleration trill of a motorcycle with four wheels I found this thrill in the Honda S2000 with four wheels and disk brakes, 240 hourse power that shifts at 9000 rpm. Hang on and drive one.
The S2000
I have had an S2000 and is was superb, apart from when I hired one in America. The handling was desgined for comfort, and so completely destroyed the agile feeling that you get from a UK car. Buy a British version for the best enjoyment of an S2000. [PS, you also get more kit with a UK car]
s2000
handles nice, nice power, could use some more thoe.all around very nice neat comfurtable ride made from honda. I would buy another S2000 anyday. I would recondmend thid car to any one.If you like hondas then this is definaantly the car for you.
S2000 - Perfect 21st Century Roadster
Undoubtedly the best bang for buck in terms of lightweight roadsters. Through it is not as luxurious as its competitors, the fact that the reliability, performance, and price of the S2000 has Porsche, BMW, and Audi on their knees makes it a wonderful purchase.
honda s2000
my experience with my honda is a blast, i can't believe the power it has for a 4 cylinder. i admired this car for 2 years before i bought it, and i must say it didn't let me down. it's the first time i've ever owned a honda, but i'm sure it won't be the last.
Girls just wanna have fun
I've only had the car since May and in the summer it's the best - but I live in the Northeast and aside from the fact that it's rear wheel drive, it really just doesn't like the cold - it's noisy and an even harder ride than normal/
Only Honda could build this awesome car
This is a street-legal pure-bred race car. It has no negative features. Period. The engine is superb, perhaps the best 4 cylinder engine ever produced. The chassis is incredibly stiff. Handling and road manners are those that one would associate with sports cars that cost 3 or 4 times more. The car is not for everybody: if you do not enjoy shifting constantly and revving the engine this car is not for you (or rather, you are not in this car's league).
New Thrill Car
This is a great car for fun. It is impractical for families (ha-which is why I bought it). You get the tremedous fun of a 2 seater convertible matched with the reliability of a Honda. Also, the 6-speed for those of us who like to drive fast is wonderful! It is a little small for my husband who stands 6'4, but great for me. I LOVE this car!
2004 S2000
It has been a fun vehicle to drive. The car is like all other Honda products I own, high quality and very tight. It has plenty of pep and is an eye catcher.
Love this car!!!!
This is the best little sport coupe on the road, and the price is just right!
luv it
absolutely love this car! i will never go back to another vette!
EXCELLENT FUN
JUST AN AMAZING CAR TO DRIVE--THE PICK UP OUT OF 2ND OR 3RD GEAR IS AWESOME. POWER ON HIGH END. COMFORT IS GREAT, CONSIDERING I AM A LARGER GUY...GREAT HANDLING TOO...
FUN
I LOVE TO DRIVE IT
S2000
This will be a classic sports car. The low-end torque has been greatly improved and the Honda quality is evident. It is great fun to drive. The 6-speed transmission shifts flawlessly.
great fun
this is the best car ive ever owned and ive bought over 34 vehicles including corvette camaro firebird prelude and bmw
super roadster
great handling, quiter, interior metal look is nice, overall Honda made a nice change.
Finally got my S2K
This is truly an "enthusiasts" sports car. To sum it all up, this car has everything you need, and nothing that you don't. Definetely a significant amount of interior noise from the wind and tires. However the best noises are heard from the twin oval tipped exhausts. She revs like a F1 and sounds like a banshee. Fuel consumption is conservative at 20/25 city/hwy. Honda's S2K definatley provides the most bang for the buck, no doubt. Where else can you get drop top pleasure, with an engine like a bat out of hell, with one of the best transmission in the world, and killer looks for about $30 grand?
Best Bang For The Buck
This car is the funnest car to drive for under 35K bucks, no doubt.
What a Blast!
Honda has spent money where I care-- engine and handling, while not running up the cost with luxury items like heated seats, etc. It is remarkably powerful, and keeps giving all the way to redline, just like a rotary engine, except you get the added kick of a huge boost at about 6200 RPM when the VTEC kicks in. It corners like it's on rails; the engine sounds great; the car looks great and they aren't at every stoplight like some cars. For the enthusiast, there are few cars which can compare at any price, and none with a price tag anywhere close to this car's.
Almost no room for improvement!
I've always been a die-hard fan of the 8-cylinder engine. I was even going to get a Vette, ... until I drove the S2K. It is so much fun to drive and attracts all the right kind of attention. Just what you'd want in a sports car. I compared it to the Z4 and the 350Z, and there was just no comparison. The S2K is a better car for a better price. The '04 Honda S2000 is a great value as well as a great performer. I strongly recommend it.
Fun yet not comfortable
I love this car, its sporty, fun, small, convient to park, yet its not a comfortable ride and its not road trip friendly....other then that its a great car.
S-2000 is a good choice.
Extremely fun car to drive. Tracks extremely well in hi-speed corners. Tremendous power once rolling because the VTEC engine develops its real power at mid to high rpms. The hard molded convertible boot cover is of little practical use (takes up much of trunk when not installed) but I think it does look good on the car.
exelent
its the best car and i love it i drive it with the top off even in da rain, snow and fog
Fun unlimited
I have had my S2000 about 9 months now. It is lots of fun to drive. Very smooth shifter. Wonderful handling. More than enough power. Stepping it down into Vtec once in awhile is loads of fun. For the money I couldn't find a better sports car.
Great little car
When i bought the car i did not know what to expect i was only 17 . I hade been building a 500hp mustang since i was 14 so the s2k was totaly diffrent.Bottom line this car rocks it takes turns like a slot car and sounds like an f1 car .I love this car to deth shur it wont run a 10 second 1/4 mile but it makes up for its lack of horse power with pure top down hard driving fun.
Smile and drive
This car is a blast to drive. I ride Ducati motorcycles and this Honda S 2000 is so far the only 4 wheeler that puts a smile on my face. I have tried other cars including the Porsche Boxter and the S 2000 got my vote!!!!
What A GREAT Car!
I had to get this car, it is so great, for the low cost, you get so freakin much! Me and my wife go out all the time cruisin just for fun.
Fun, fun, fun
I have had my S2000 for 2 years. I enjoy driving it today as much as I did when I first got it. What a driving machine! Cornering, acceleration, stabilty (even at HIGH speeds), great six speed and all at a great price. There are only a couple of negatives - not much luggage room or interior storage, not much torgue. However, overall, a great car!
as good as it gets
This is my 4 year of owning s2000's and every year I try to decide what sports car to get next and it comes back to keeping it, just cant find a true sports car for the price. i could write a long review but one must drive this machine to understand why it is truly special.
Honda S2000
My wife decided to have herself a sports car for her birthday. One of her colleagues recommended the Honda S2000, earning my lifelong indebtedness. Within an hour of our drive to the dealership, she had her car. Weeks later, she allowed me to drive her home in it following an exhausting week at work. Wow! What fun! No wonder she chose to drive it all the time. (We have two other vehicles.) It's everything I ever wanted in a muscle car in my youth combined with the sporty cars I always coveted as a young adult. Now, at this stage of my life, I'd have to say that it compares favorably to Viagra.
best convert ever
its an awesome well rounded convertable with lots of pep
unbelievably fun
I've had my car for almost a month, and it's my daily driver. I went from driving a Civic to this, so I was a little apprehensive at first about living with this car on a daily basis. After the first week, it was clear -- this car is worth every penny I paid for it. It's unbelievably fun to drive, has an amazing gearbox (almost unreal how smooth shifting it is), is rock solid, and I get so many looks from other people. Passing situations are also a breeze, if you see a hole in traffic, you can get there with this car. The engine sounds amazing also, I love to rev this baby! And best of all, it's a Honda, so you know reliability won't be a problem
Otter b. a. comfortable seat car
I love my car . I have always had trucks . But the only thing I feel that is wrong is the softness of the seats. I drove it to NC and I was not pleased with it . short distances is fine . You need to work on comfort on the bottom of the seats. thank you for making a great car.
SPONTANEITY BACK TO DRIVING!
HANDELING IS INCREDIBLE AND OFFERS THE SPONTANEITY BACK TO DRIVING.I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE RIDE WHILE CRUISING THE FREEWAY.THE XENON LIGHTING IS STD AND IT TRULY LIGHTS UP THE ROAD FOR SUPERIOR VISIABILITY.THE SHORT THROW BOX MAKES DRIVING THIS S2000 MORE FUN AND POWERFUL.THE BRAKES ARE PERFECT WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO RACE THIS CAR IN A SAFE YET VEIN PUMPING MANNER. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE, DEPENDABLE YET BREATH TAKING ADRENALINE PUMPING EXPERIENCE THEN THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU. THE MORE YOU REALIZE THIS CAR WAS BUILT TO BE PUSHED AND WORKED OVER THE MORE YOU WILL BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE.DEPENDABILITY WITH HONDA MADE THIS DECISION EASY.
TIght turns and hot curves
The car has been a dream to own and drive. Its fast, tight in turns, a real pleasure to drive and surpisingly comfortable on long trips. The trunk is big enough to fit the clubs AND enough luggage for a long weekend. If you don't want to golf, then you can have enough room to bring your girlfriend AND her stuff.
Owned 2003 model - liked 2004 changes
We bought a 2003 model in August and enjoyed it. We joined a S2000 club and had rides thru the hill country nearby. We learned of the changes in the 2004 model and we decided to trade up to one. We got the new one mid February and are very glad to have done the upgrade to the 2004. The ride is smoother and with the larger engine it has a lot more power in the lower gears. I could not believe there could be an improvement over the great 2003 that we had, but I sure love driving it.
Brilliant!
Every trip is like a visit to the go-kart track. I can find nothing bad to say about this vehicle. I am constantly amazed at how few I see on the road, especially in contrast to the high numbers I see of more expensive and less well-performing two seaters.
Just what I needed!
In rating this vehicle, I kept the scores relative to what it is: a well built, high performance, great looking, seat of the pants sports car. No frills, just pure excitement on the right roads. If you are looking for a touring sports car to drive on Interstate highways, I'd recommend a 350Z, G35 or Z4 over this car. I love it so far, and go through withdrawals on days that I don't drive it. BTW- it's definitely made to be driven hard on good roads, but have a good radar detector with you.
S-2000 - There's nothing else like it!
The S-2000 is one of the sexiest, fastest, smoothest shifting sports cars on the planet. A car with a 9,000RPM redline coupled with blinding speed, awesome handling, and a banshee like howl abouve 6,500RPM, yet still giving you 20MPG city - 30MPG highway....how can you go wrong? It is a BMW Z-4 and Porsche Boxster killer for about 15-20K less than the German autos. Add 6K worth of toys - a supercharger, Brembo brakes, shock tower supports, and an upgraded clutch, and you have almost 400HP in a 2,800lb car - this combo will definitely eat 911's and Ferrari's with aplomb.
awsome
All I have to say about this car is that everything the makers did with this car is awsome. It drives good, Its fast,Its comfortable theres not enough good stuff i can say about this car.
Great car
great car, fun on the back roads and It turns heads everytime I take it out. Great value and when It smokes cars more expensive by $20,000 you can't beat the feeling. It also seems to run better as It gets more miles on It
S2000 - simply a blast to drive
In general the car is lots of fun. Plenty of power and the sound of the engine above 4K is highly pleasing. Complaints about the low end torque are hardly noticed with the rev-happy engine.
Crotch Rocket
For those looking for an upgrade in power and styling from the super fun Mazda Miata, the Honda S2000 will provide the boost. I felt like I moved from a go cart to a formula one, allowing me to make a move into traffic whenever I wanted to rather than have to yield for a large opening. The controls layout, handling and stability are superb.
What a fun car!
This had been my dream car until I boght it, and has been my dream car since I bought it. I knew this car has great performance, but I am a bit surprised how easy it is to drive this. Also a surprise has been a ride. It is firm, but very comfortable. My gf usually gets car sick on winding roads, but never on S2000.
Oh my !!!!
This is with out a doubt one of the finest vehicles in the world.
A beauty
Fantastic car....top notch. This is the perfect car for guys who need speed and looks. They look even better when you put a hard top on them.
