2019 Pilot Radio, battery, kicklift issues
This is the fourth Honda we have owned and I don't think there will be a fifth purchase based on what I have experienced in one week's time with the new vehicle. On Day 3 with just 300 miles on the car, the radio stopped working. It had power to it but we couldn't use it for Apple Play or Sirius or even local channels. When we shut off the vehicle, the radio stayed on. I noticed this after about two hours and was lucky I caught it, because I did not want to drain the battery. I wound up pulling the fuse to the radio (#29, if anyone needs to know) to cut the power. I've had to do this three times so far. Now, when I start my car, I get a low battery warning. None of the interior lights were left on, no doors were open, etc. The car is off and dark. There are no key fobs in or near the car. I can't imagine that the one hour that the radio was stuck on could have drained the battery to this extent. The kicklift feature on my trunk hatch has stopped working. I don't know if this is related to having to pull the fuse or not. Pressing the button works, and the hatch lifts - but the kicklift is defective now. Another thing that happened with the interior is that the cover just about the passenger foot well keeps falling off. I contacted Honda about this and they said there are "no known issues" with the radio and trunk. I find this hard to believe. This car has less than 1000 miles on it! We purchased this vehicle for the purpose of allowing a safer car ride. My radio shut down in the night. Can you imagine if I was depending on this feature to function if I was lost or stranded or in a dangerous situation? Shame on you Honda!

Pilot Elite, Second to None!!
Our 5th new Honda purchase, been very pleased with all of them! Have owned for one year now with 9,500 miles on it. This Elite rides well and handles like a dream. To those complaining it handles clumsily, get a sports car. Its not meant to handle like some little roller skate. 9 speed transmission is very smooth, shifts well and is easy to master the push button drive. The automatic engine cylinder deactivation which allows it to run on 3 cylinders at cruising speeds has given us up to 33mpg on several occasions, not to shabby for a heavy vehicle going 75 mph with cruise control engaged. Very roomy, I am 6 foot and still have inches of headroom. Love the ratchet arm rests on front seats. Build quality is excellent, no rattles or wind noise, everything fits well. Infotainment works well, takes a bit to master it however. Acceleration is decent enough to move it into freeway traffic or passing on the old two lane roads. Cant really find fault with this SUV. If I had to gripe about anything it would be the engine start/stop feature which all automakers are using lately. DUMP IT!! I disable it everytime I get into the car. I would like the ride to be just a bit softer, as due to the 20 inch wheels it will give a bit harder ride on choppy pavement. Other than that, fits our bill 100%...We drove the Traverse which is slightly bigger but very coarse engine and bad reliability record...Highlander, felt cheap inside, didn't ride as well, not as roomy.... RX 350L, ridiculous 3rd seat not as roomy....MDX couldn't get the entertainment system with captains chairs second row for 2019 not to mention not as roomy.. Drive one develop your own conclusion, we couldn't be happier

What an upgrade!
We just went from a 2014 CRV EX-L to a 2019 Pilot EX-L. What a huge improvement in ride, sound, etc. My biggest surprise is that the MPG we are getting with the much larger Pilot is better than the CRV. With 12000 miles - get 28-30 mpg on highway at 75 mph.

2019 HONDA PILOT EX A GREAT VALUE
the New Pilot is an excellent family SUV. Drives good on snow and is easy to drive despite being a mid size SUV. Heated seats and Apple Play on the EX model is all you need. It is worth the price without paying more for the EX-L and other models. Only thing lacking is the trunk opening with a push of the button, but I think this is my best purchase of any car in my life. Had the car for a little over 6 months and have taken it on road trips. The Apple Play is awesome and we use it to navigate via I Phone.

Not a very safe vehicle
Not worth the price nor as safe as you’d think, especially when all the sensors are so sensitive. My brand new Pilot ( just made my 3rd payment) has been in the shop 3 times. How’d you like to be driving 55 mph you push your brake bc someone in front of you brakes then your brake mitigation takes over also brakes then the vehicle completely shuts down? We were on the highway. What if someone had rear ended us? This is just the beginning of our problems with the brake mitigation. We have the control off and it still turns itself on. We also have an electrical issue with the speaker system that still isn’t fixed, we’re told it’s a 3 trip process. 2 procedures then if not fixed which it’s not then completely replacing the wiring harnesses.
