Smart cars are dumb
Our car detects imaginary individuals in the heat, opens the windows and sunroof, and floods when the rainstorm hits. A lemon of a design. I will never buy Honda again

Sold.
I was told by the dealer when I traded this vehicle that it was "quarantined" because the rear seat recall (which I had done) didn't fix the problem therefore Honda Odysseyes were unable to be sold. I saw my car in their ad and it was sold. I'm not saying the dealer lied...but.

Over-Priced!!
The review by Edmunds is completely not what l found in the 2014 Odyssey. One good thing I enjoyed about this model is that the fuel economy is very good. However this mini van was very loud in the cabin especially when you the odometer reaches 55 plus miles. Also it is very light. I still love my 2007 Nissan quest which has better acceleration and handling than the Honda odyssey.

Disappointed in my 3rd Odyssey
I took delivery of my 2014 Odyssey EX-L just a couple of weeks ago and already regret my purchase. I had previously owned 2 Odyssey's that were great but this 2014 is a huge disappointment. The ride is very stiff and reminds me of the 1991 Ford Explorer that rode so bad if gave me neck and shoulder pain. This Odyssey already has rattles and the OEM Continental tires suck in snowy northern Indiana. If somebody has a PHD in computers (or a 10 year old grandson) the instrument panel is then probably understandable to program, but for a "60 something" it's WAY too confusing, plus the instruction manual is literally as thick as a Bible. I wish I had my old van back!
How do you get excited about an appliance?
This is the first and probably the last minivan. Based on recommendations we purchased this van with the only requirement being a powered tailgate. Most friends commented that we were moving backwards going from SUVs to a minivan. Personally didn't matter to me since I don't drive it. After 8 years of ownership the van had several issues. The electric fan failed needed replacing at 65K. The intake hose from the throttle body to the MAF cracked and replaced. Replaced plugs at 50K, Trans fluid at 50K and coolant. On third set of Michelins at 75K. All in all a good experience. The van will easily go to 10 years as the salesman stated. Next up timing belt and water pump. Update: Van is approaching 2 years of age. No problems, Couple of scrapes from reversing. Apparently the reverse camera isn't enough for my wife to avoid walls, cars, and whatever else she backs into. Van is reliable, predictable, and downright boring. Dogs seem to like it. Update: Approaching 4 years of ownership. Other than oil changes and recalls for seat latches van has been uneventful. New Michelins on the corners improved ride and handling.

Disappointed
After driving my van for 6 months now, and several long trips with the grand kids, the 8 passenger seating and 26 mpg rating are the only good things I can say about this purchase. This is the first Honda I have ever owned, and if this is the top of the line product for them, it will probably be the last. The electronic technology is old and outdated. The Navigation system is worthless. The entertainment system is also not up to par. The COOL box has proven to be worthless for keeping things cold and has turned out to be just another storage box. The alarm and remote start are a joke. Overall this van has not lived up to my expectations and IÂm very disappointed with this Honda.
