Like it so far
New owner with Two weeks and 700 miles now. Purchased the EX with CVT Transmission. So far gas mileage is 38-41 mpg. The engine is pretty spunky however when climbing hills the CVT tends to make the engine work to find the perfect spot...so it get's a little 'busy'. I've had newer Civics, CRV's and find them a little quieter and refined but also realizing the price point on the Fit it seems a fair trade off. Purchased on the last day of the month so after calling around I feel I got a fair price and didn't have to travel far. So far, so good.
Love the car, but don't get a 2015 model
Having owned this car for over a year and a half now (a 2015 EX version with a manual transmission), it's been a lot of fun to drive and it's always nice not having to break the bank when filling up the tank. That said, in the past few weeks, some severe problems have popped up. In the middle of driving up a busy road, our engine stalled out. It turned out that a fuel sensor in the fuel rail and a low pressure fuel pump gave out (oh, and the car only had 56,000 miles on it). This cost us over $1,500 and even though it's a known issue with the 2015 model that is covered for free under the warranty, it is only covered under the warranty and Honda will leave you in the dust. Plus, our model is white and there is another known defect with the paint where UV rays can cause the pain to chip off. This essentially means that just by the car being in the sun, the car's paint will strip off and reveal the raw steal frame of the car (not a great look for a four year old car!). Thankfully that is still covered by Honda 7 years after the original date of purchase so we can get it replaced, but I feel bad for the people that buy these cars when they're 7 years old and they look more like an old tin can than an actual car. Overall, aside from these problems, it's been a great car to drive. You can't beat the cargo room in it either. Plus with the backup and side cameras, the sunroof and infotainment system... you can't beat the price for this car. But for my next purchase, I just can't see myself getting another Honda because of these costly mechanical gremlins. Despite the uglier cars and more expensive base models, I think I'll be getting a Toyota for my next car because if these kinds of problems are happening to this Honda before it even hits 60,000 miles, I'm not looking forward to what the next 60,000 miles have in store.

Best car in it's class!
This is a great car and I love it! The room in the back with the seats folded down is amazing, and with the seats up, the rear seat passenger room is great. The gas mileage is also terrific. I always get 41 to 45. Have never got below 41! My only complaints are the floor covering is very cheap crap and 6th gear should be higher. The engine is doing too many RPM's at highway speed. Highly recommend it!

Car Dead at 39K Miles!!!
I have liked Honda's in the past but I think that their products are getting worse. We bought this vehicle brand new. At 39K miles the radiator decided to completely fail with no indication inside the vehicle. Within minutes the head gasket had blown and the vehicle was not derivable. Honda did not cover the repair because the vehicle warranty is only good until 36K miles. The radiator should not have failed this early, and at the very minimum the vehicle should have given the driver a warning that the car was overheating! DON'T BUY A NEW HONDA FIT!!!

Got rid of this car after about one year
I like this car because it is economical but if you dig a bit you will find that many people cannot drive this car for many miles or more than an hour or so without back pain. Something about the design of the seats is absolutely terrible. I enjoy the entertainment sytem, fuel economy, fit and finish but it is totally uncomfortable to drive. You will find this out but not until you have had it for a bit and I am not alone in this. Do a little internet search on uncomfortable seats in Honda Fit.
