Disappointing
I've had my Fit for about 6 months, 6,000 miles. I'm not impressed. I drive this car like an old grandma, slow acceleration, early deceleration, maximizing coasting and momentum.. and I don't even come close to the advertised mileage in town. I get maybe 22-24 in town, compared to the 27 it's supposed to get. I got better city mileage in my last car, which was 600 lbs heavier with a much bigger engine and almost 300hp, and I drove that car like I stole it. And on that note, this car is slow. Anemically slow. It gets me from A to B, but I have to make sure I have looots of room before I pull out into traffic.
The Car Saved My Dad's Life
My dad was driving my 2012 Honda Fit when he was hit by another car on the left rear side. It rolled over and spun around but he came out with a slight bruise. All of the First Responders said that they never saw a person survive that much damage with so few injuries. The car crumpled in all of the right places but it now is totaled. Overall, the only issues with the car were I had to get the driver-side window switch replaced as it would not rollup, and just recently I had to get the clutch switch replaced and I have owned the car since December 2011. I'm going to miss that car!

No Lagin Wagon
Very impressed. I wouldn't race anybody for pinks with this car, but it's still very lively when I need it to accelerate and responsive when I need it to handle. I drive treacherous, windy, mountain roads. Honda has made a proven winner and, remarkably, it remains unseated by any of the market's other small cars which are trying so hard, but not quite measuring up. I average 36 to 39 mpg on a tank. The seats are supportive and comfortable enough for 5 hours continuous driving. The drivers seat is spacious enough for a 6'1" driver. A 6'8" friend of mine was not able to sit comfortably in the driver's seat.
Great car, substandard mileage and A/C Issue
I've owned my Fit Sport since I bought it brand new in 2012. Super reliable, very versatile and decent comfort. I really love the car and will keep it as long as I can. Only downside is the engine revs high and mileage for such a small car is below average. In commuting in Los Angeles I average 25 mpg, on a freeway trip low 30's. Should be better. Also, I have noticed several reviewers mentioning the A/C problem where the compressor freezes after about 90 minutes of driving. This is a KNOWN ISSUE by Honda that they refuse to issue a recall on. The reason this freezing occurs is because the 2012 Fits came off the assembly line with low freon. This causes the freezing. If you stop the car and let the compressor thaw out you get about 90 minutes of cold air then it happens again. I had to battle with my Honda dealer but they finally gave in and checked my A/C and sure enough the freon was low. With a full recharge it works perfectly. My dealer contacted Honda and they covered the repair. So if your Fit is doing this go to a dealer and fight the good fight.

Great first car!
This was my first car purchase, and I couldn't be happier with it. The acceleration is a bit slow, but the drive is very smooth, and it turns great as well. The visibility is excellent, and the storage is exceedingly spacious. Overall, love this car!
