Great little car!
I bought it used with about 60,000 on the clock for my daughter to use in college. Over the 3 years and 30,000 miles that we have owned it, it has been 100% trouble free. I keep up with all the basic maintenance myself and the only time I had to take it to the dealer was for an airbag recall that took less than two hours. The fuel mileage has been 32mpg combined city and highway, but I got close to 40mpg on a 1600 mile highway trip. It has a great interior that allows you to carry a ton of stuff if you need to. My only criticism is that on the highway with a full load it could use a little more power.

The perfect small car
Flawless reliability 3 years in. Not sure why some people get disappointing MPG. Maybe they drive like a maniac, have upgraded to wide tires, and carry a lot of weight... I get an avg of 39 MPG from this awesome car! The manual trany shifting and the clutch are both super light and easy and smooth. But I'd prefer a lower ratio for 5th gear so not to waste gas when going over 70 (and to quiet the engine) The interior loudness is less than in previous years. The cargo space is incredible, including under the rear seats. The gas tank being under the front seat means you can't adjust height, but I'm now happier sitting higher than I used to--better visibility, except the wide front left pillar

2012 Honda Fit Sport MT in Vortex Blue
I waited 2 weeks for this color to come in from Japan and boy am I glad I did, It is gorgeous, and you don't see it as often as the other colors. The car is fantastic, I def had to get the Manual Transmission and it is soo much better than the Auto. Right now, the car has almost 1,000 miles and I am soo far averaging 33.5 MPG. The updates for 2012 seemed to have worked as the interior is much quieter than the older model. The seats are comfortable, it only cost me $28 bucks to fill up, and its fun to drive. I'd say I have a winner with this car and I could not be happier!
Great Little Car! Still going strong after 10 yrs.
I've had my Fit for over 7yrs and still love it. Get about 25mpg city and high 30's on the road. My wife is more of a lead foot, so she gets about 2-3 mpg less. Just put front brake pads on @60K, no other problems-just doing regular maintenance and it keeps going strong! Make sure you use a Top Tier gas as Honda recommends and you'll have no problems. Don't have to use anything but regular, but make sure it is Top Tier. I've known some that have used really cheap quality gas, and have had problems. Yes, this vehicle won't ride like a Lexus or Cadillac, but suits my needs fine. I also use a synthetic oil (Mobil 1) since the first oil change. The carpet is on the cheap side, had it replaced once due to wear while under warranty, it's wearing out again around the driver's heel pad-same spot as before. Have only done required maintenance-had to replace tires @42K. No bad for OEM Dunlop's. Replaced with Michelin's-which made the car handle better and drive more smoothly Still running strong, just change the oil/filters, and rotate tires/alignment, and do the Maintenance that the Maintenance Minder tells you to do. Battery lasted 6yrs before replacement. Runs like an old-fashioned finely tuned sewing machine :) Just changed the front brake pads @ 61K.

2nd Fit purchased new
The wife and myself owned a 2008 Fit while living abroad in Europe. When we moved back to the States, we purchased another Fit. For a compact car, Honda really managed to cram a whole lot into this vehicle without making it seem over-done. Fit and finish is quite nice, along with the overall design. This car works, it's practical, very lively to drive (with the stick) and very fuel efficient 36 highway and 33 in town. I am 6'6" 210 lbs and fit very very well in this car. My knees don't hit anything on the way in or out. Loading height is great whether you're 5'2, like my wife, or my size. I would buy a 3rd fit if I ever felt so inclined to get another family member in one.
