Update 11/13/21-Our Wrangler is now nearly 3 years old & zero issue-Not one. 2018 Honda CRV had nothing but issues. Navigation glitches, sound system terrible, cheap leather, gasoline in the oil rising over 2 quarts in 3 months even after the update, engine never heats up in the winter, interior of vehicle was always freezing in winter due to engine not heating up, absolutely worst new car purchase ever. Update-Because of the issues with 18 CRV-it was traded in. Given Honda's poor response and quality I most likely will not look at Honda products again. Purchased a new '19 Wrangler over a year ago now. Have had zero issues and is surprising in how much I like it. Original Honda CRV review- Engine oil dilution from gasoline getting mixed in causing oil level to be too high-no fix. Audio awful. Infotainment system glitches regularly. Arm rest inconveniently slides forward and backward when u try to adjust ur seating position. Foot activated hatch opening rarely works. Gas mileage varies substantially with temperature. Dealer experiences have been poor. Question if glitches actually happen and ask for video of it. Not impressed at all. $35k can buy a lot better SUV than this. Mazda, chevy and Toyota all are nicer.

Our 4th CR-V ... That should tell you something.

We own a 2018 CR-V Touring and love it. Had a '09 ... a '12 ... and a '15. Maybe that's why both my wife and I appreciate all they've done to improve this vehicle. My only complaint is that I really miss the blind side camera out '15 Touring had. That's a small price to pay for a CR-V that has a cabin that feels far more roomy and more upscale than its predecessors. And, they gave us back a volume tuning knob. Our others were all leased but we purchased this one and plan on keeping it for at least 10 years. Great vehicle I'd recommend to anyone who doesn't need a 3rd row seat.

Noisy Cabin

Tom, 06/22/2018
2018 Honda CR-V LX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl CVT)

I bought a brand new 2018 Honda CRV - LX a little over a month ago. After driving for a couple of weeks subsequent to date of purchase, I noticed a very noisy cabin. On certain roads, I can't even hold a conversation with my spouse in the vehicle. The cabin noise started to irritate me so much that I changed the Bridgestone Ecopia tires (came in with the car) to some quiet Michelin tires but noticed minimal cabin noise reduction. I bought a can of Permatex to coat the front wheel well liners but noticed no difference in noise. Lastly, I purchased some rubber door insulators and insulated the 2 front doors. Again, I noticed no noise reduction. I am very unhappy with the cabin noise. I can't believe Honda has not caught up with the rest of the other car makers. This is my first time and my last time purchasing a Honda unless Honda does a better job of insulating their vehicles in the future.

Hands-Free Phone Distortion Issue

J. Brown, 10/04/2018
2018 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

Purchased our first Honda, a 2018 CR-V EXL AWD, in June, 2018. Soon learned that my hands-free phone component had lots of distorted background noise on the recipient's end of call. The distortion sounds like my windows are down (they aren't); I am underwater (I’m not) and got worse with higher rates of speed. The dealer service dept. replaced both microphones, updated the software, paired different phones both with my vehicle and with ten (10) other new 2018 CR-Vs off their lot, all to no avail - distortion was present with all vehicles. Distortion problem exists whether using Bluetooth or plugging phone into USB ports and with every type of cell phone tested. Visited dealer service dept. seven (7) times in three (3) months. Said there was nothing else they could do. Called Honda Corporate Customer Service who stated: “it’s not technically happening within my vehicle, it is working as it was designed to work (really?), it cannot be improved upon…case closed! They offered no other compensation. Took vehicle to different dealer one hour away. They confirmed distortion noise with our vehicle and with four (4) other new 2018 CR-Vs of various trim packages off their lot. Distortion problem exists with all vehicles tested. Final conclusion to date: Perhaps a software compatibility issue; however Corporate Honda has NO solution and does not appear to be seeking one.

Very noisy cabin

I am really upset on 2018 CRV Touring. Before buying I did test drive for about 2-5 miles and everything was ok. But after driving car about 50Miles, started to hear very loud noise like a drum noise/rattling noise. This noise is specific to Touring model as stated by dealer. If I knew at the beginning why I am going to spend $35K for a car. Now I have to live with that noise. I strongly advise to new buyers do not buy touring at all.
