Great SUV but lack power

It is a great SUV interiorially. Comfortable, spacious and instrumentation is very intuitive. However, it lacks the power going up a hill, and breaking distance takes lomger than expected. If you have driven V6 or VTEC powered cars, the CR-V may need some getting use to.

Unfortunately I learned that the new environmentally friendly coating on the wires is appealing to rodents. I have two friends whose wires have been chewed and damage incurred on their new Honda crv's. Since we do not have a garage and have had mice build a nest in two of our previous vehicles, I would not have chosen this car if I had known abou mom t this. It appears to be a problem with Toyotas as well. There is not an easy cure.

This car is easy to get into and out of and fun to operate. Visibility of the road ahead is clear and the added safety features are what I wanted and need at this stage of my driving career. The car is comfortable. My back feels the lumbar support. I love the turbocharged engine which gets me onto the highways quickly and safely. I would recommend the Honda CR-V to anyone looking for a new car.

Get at least the EX. You get a ton more features for not that much more, and navigation is not necessary with the apple play app-you can pull it right up on your screen. I'm very practical and did a lot of research prior to buying- this vehicle suits my needs perfectly. Lots of room in the front and back, tons of cargo room-love that the 8 way power adjustment on the drivers seat. The only bad thing I can say is the driver's seat is a little hard, but I solved this by buying a cushion to sit on. Other than that I think they hit it on the mark with the 2018 CRV!

Took my car in for state inspection dash went crazy...everything blinking on dash. All systems failed inspection. Car was fine day before. Called dealer..."oh this happens...bring it in, we'll reprogram ". Got in car to go to dealer 1 1/2 mile down the road it cleared. Passed inspection next day. This makes me crazy!
