This is my second CRV

I owned and still own a 2014 CRV. I had 2 complaints about the 2014. No Home link and no push button start. Both of those features are on the 2018. What I am amazed with are all of the other features in the 2018. The Adaptive Cruise Control works perfectly. I found it hard to believe that the car came with LKAS (Lane Keep Avoidance System) This feature in essence allows the car to steer itself (or stay between the lines). I thought that this feature was only available on high end cars such as my wifes Volvo S90. I can tell you that this feature works at least as well in the 2018 CRV as it does in the 2017 S90. The new turbo charged engine delivers more than enough acceleration. The 2018 rides better and performs better than my 2014 CRV which I gave to my son. The only things that I don't like about the car are with the bluetooth integration. I dial into conference calls a couple times a day from my car. Dial an 800 number, then pause and dial in a PIN. The pause in the dialer don't work and I have to dial from the phone. The dealership has been useless on an update. Secondly, I never use the Android Auto. It seems to serve no purpose. I may be more disappointed in Google and Android Auto than Honda. As far as the bluetooth working during calls and streaming music, it works fine. The user interface on the entertainment system isn't the most intuitive either. I absolutely love the car. I loved the 2014 and feel like the 2018 is just a tremendous value for the money and HIGHLY recommend one to someone looking for a small SUV. It is also worth mentioning that after approximately 60,000 miles on the 2014, it has never been to the dealership. I have only replaced tires and brakes! Review is for a 2018 EX-L AWD and included with the purchase price are roof rack and rails, hitch, winter floor mats.

The electronics will not accept some programs such as Google maps. Volume for mapping very poor, if radio is on navigation cannot be understood. MPG has been 35+ Very good. Front seating seems very comfortable, wider than my 2011. Very easy use of cruise control and auto spacing, & lane control, really enjoy and like. Purchasers must watch close or the drop some items such as garage door opener, that package should all be one. Storage for I-pad or a I-phone is not convient as well as the USB outlets for chargeing or connecting to navigation very difficult to connect in there location, inside council. Radio operation instructions could be given as training seminar with vehicle, to be able to use all options, very difficult to work on your own thru many of its capabilities. I feel telephone controls on steering wheel could be simpler, nearly have quit using them at all. This option needs to be more user friendly.

I did a lot of research before buying Honda CRV 2018. Its a nice looking car. Interior looks nice. I get smell of gasoline in the cabin now a days. I am still waiting to figure out the problem. May be from outside or inside. I have been reading gas on oil problem from other reviewers. Honda completely got rid of CD/DVD room and AUX. If you want to connect your phone or device to the car sound system, either use car charging cable or bluetooth. You can't connect through the AUX. Screen info system is not user friendly. RAV4 has better user friendly system. It takes a long time to warm up the car. The good thing is Honda dealers are providing free live oil change.

I wish we had not bought this car. We were so looking forward to owning a new CRV and we're torn between a Subaru or CRV... I liked the looks and reviews of the CRV.... It was a mistake. So far after owning this car for about 10 months, the oil smells like gas and rises, called the dealership and they said to come in for a free oil change. (bandaid, problem not solved), it takes the heater a long time to get going... I live in sub zero country, I have to take a wool blanket with me everywhere, like I'm in an old relic. Another problem, the radio/computer screen glitches out at random times, was on a long trip, didn't even work for hours. The gas mileage is OK, under 30mpg. Traction... The reason we bought an AWD, isn't as good as my past FWD vehicle, and it now has created a... I guess I'd call it, a wobble when driving at hi or lower highway speeds... It's scary, especially in winter weather. We're hoping to trade it in at a decent price.

Another update...coming up on 83,000 miles. I have had no problems with this car. It has had factory recommended maintenance, and no repairs. I have a back road commute (40 miles each way) and get mid to high 30's mpg in the Summer and low to mid 30's in the Winter. A couple of times I have had trips (not full tanks) that hit 40 mpg. I'm sure if you do more urban driving your mileage will differ. The only niggle I have, and it is very small, is that a cream colored fabric was not a good choice for the arm rests. Drivability is superb and comfort is above what one would expect from a vehicle this size. In addition to my daily commute, I have taken the car to Montana. It is very comfortable cruising at 85 mph. I would also like to put in a plug for my dealer, Capital City Honda in Olympia, Washington. These folks are the best, both sales and service. My family has now purchased six Hondas from them. I have just shy of 30,000 miles on my CR-V now. It is a great vehicle. No mechanical issues. The car gets great gas mileage. We had a snow event here in February. Our town got about 16". Even on the unplowed side streets the CR-V motored through. And that is with the OEM tires.
