2018 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

On 3 different occasions, while driving the 2018 Honda CR-V on the interstate highway, it started vibrating, and would not accelerate, burning smell occurred, several warning lights came up on the dashboard. We had to navigate the car from the middle of highway to the shoulder of the highway very abruptly. It was a near death experience as several trucks and cars were traveling on the highway at very fast speeds. After the fixes done by Honda the Vehicle is working as expected for the last 2+ years

Touch Screen Goes Blank

2018 Honda CR-V Touring 4dr SUV (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

2018 Honda CRV Touring has an issue where the touch screen goes dark then light, then has random lights flashing. Honda knows about the problem but does not have a fix for it. My car has less than 8000 miles on it and I feel very frustrated that it can’t be fixed.

2018 Honda CR-V LX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl CVT)

I have spent the last two decades owning SUV's made by other manufacturers like Infiniti, Mercedes, BWM and Toyota. I was looking for a solid SUV that would be perfect for year round driving in Chicago. After weeks of solid research, I was led to the award winning 2018 CR-V. It had everything I was looking for. Very recently, it handled a Chicago snowstorm without a problem. This vehicle is actually really fun to drive in the city compared to my previous SUV - but by no means it is a speed demon (that is definitely is NOT). Engine power is on the low end, but again, this wasn't a factor for me this time around because of the extreme traffic and where driving mostly in a city where you can rarely drive more than a few blocks without needing to stop at a light or stop sign. I don't care how fast a car can take me from the end of one city block to another. Aside from the lack of [unneeded] horsepower, it handles great and the steering is effortless and very responsive. My elderly parents can finally get in and out without a problem with ample headroom (they have never been this happy getting in / out any of my previous cars). Others have mentioned concerns with issues like seat comfort and Bluetooth connectivity. Let me say this: For me, the CR-V is gets a full five stars for comfort. This car is much more comfortable to sit in than my previous "luxury" SUV which costs more than twice the cost of the CR-V. In terms of the bluetooth feature, while I have the minimal technology package in the LX, my Pixel 3 always connects automatically and after at least a hundred calls to date while driving this car, I haven't had a single problem with the connection or quality of my calls over Bluetooth. This car is near perfect but has a few trivial flaws. The flaws that I have noticed thus far after five months in is that, yes, the back up camera is very low quality to the point where it is useless. The other flaw is that the hood is not aligned properly in that there is a noticeable gap between the driver side hood and the quarter panel (this is not the case with the passenger side!). I tried adjusting the rubber stoppers and this did not help at all. Also, I felt the headlights were a bit dim and replaced them with aftermarket LED headlamps for about $50 total - issue solved and the headlights are now bright white and are much more effective at lighting the road. Despite foregoing the bells and whistles of the higher end model (with features I really don't use because I don't need technology to keep me alert and I don't mind turning a key versus pressing a button) I highly recommend this car to anyone who wants a proven, solid and reliable value that basically serves almost every conceivable driving need. Lastly, I bought the CR-V in Black Pearl with black interior I think this vehicle looks really good!

major flaw/fuel in oil in 2018....be careful

there is a history of these cars having an issue with oil dilution/fuel in the oil resulting in the oil reservoir being overfilled. this issue started on my 2018 at 2600 miles. My dealership has been awesome in trying to take care of this issue. Honda Corp had a software update for the northern states, this was performed on my car in Dec. 2 weeks ago I had a strong fuel smell in my cabin (I thought I smelled it in January but ignored it because I had just had the software update/fix and was trying to be optimistic, and definitely had fuel in my oil which had caused it to be overfilled....again. unfortunately, my dealership was not authorized to do anything for me per Honda Corp and the lady I spoke with at Honda Corp was condescending and rude. Since that phone call, my dealership has intervened and have spoken to their district service manager. I had my pcv replaced along with my fuel injectors and every filter including cabin. I just got the car back yesterday and am holding my breath. I truly love this car and previously owned a 2010 that I drove for 195,000 miles without any issues. if you google Honda crv oil dilution you will see what a widespread problem this is. China actually stopped manufacturing the CRV for over 3 months due to this issue and Honda Canada has extended the warranty to 6 years with no mileage limit.....I am sure they know the engines can't possibly last as long with this ongoing issue. it is very frustrating to say the least. I have filed a complaint with my state attorney general and they encouraged me to file a lemon law dispute. So, be mindful and check your oil often. I have never gone longer than 3000 miles between oil changes....

Car has a little drift to it when you put it in park, have been told this is normal. The air conditioner seems to have trouble maintaining the temp in the car. The middle console design leaves a lot to be desired. And if you get the factory trunk tray, the lid for the spare tire compartment needs to stay in the lower position, other wise your tray will slid around. Other than that runs like a champ. I was really disappointed with the wear on the original tires, had to replace at 15,000 miles. For the price you pay for the car you would think it would come with a better tire. I hope that the rest of the car holds up better than the factory installed tires.
