Great car, but.............

My wife is 5ft-8in and I am 6ft, each of us had a problem with our right legs aching and going numb on long drives. The front seat bottom cushions are too short, and the gas pedal angle is to severe. Loving the car in all other aspects, but had to sell it after a short period of time due to the leg discomfort. A real disappointment!

We replaced our 2004 CR-V with a 2018 CR-V. Wow! The 2018 is a little bigger, has more horse power (at a lower rpm) and gets better gas milage. The 04 got 22-25 mpg. The 2018 got 31mpg on the first two tanks. No trips, just normal local driving. I really like the CVT transmission. I believe it is a big help with gas milage and makes best use of the power. Having heat and ac vents for the back seat is very nice. I thought the heated front seats was silly, until I used them. In just seconds you have heat on a cold morning. It may take few minutes for the engine to give you heat. The dual zone automatic climate control is wonderful, just not as fast as the electric (heated) seat! The rearview camera and all the safety and driver assistive features are amazing. I am still learning new things about the 7" touch screen. Up date 3/29/2019 - Have had this car more than a hear, about 12000 miles. Best car we ever had! On a trip of 100 miles of steady driving it gets 35 mpg at 65 mph. Very comfortable front and back. Fun to drive.

Sporty driving, economical travel, and I am so happy with this Honda CR-V. I had been driving a very comfortable 2007 Honda Pilot, that had been trouble-free at nearly 96K miles, but decided to downsize and to get better gas mileage, as well as to get the now-available safety features. This CR-V is so peppy I have to watch it, or I am going to get a speeding ticket! It is also much easier to fit into a parking space in our town which still has a lot street parking that requires parallel parking. The good visibility makes parallel parking it easy. I have had this auto 4 years, and I like more than ever especially now with its good gas mileage. UPDATE: Have had this Honda CR-V since I bought it new in 2018 and have never had any issues with it. Do the usual oil changes and tire rotations. It gets good gas mileage, averaging around 30 mpg, more or less according to highway vs. town driving. The only reason I would trade this auto is to get a newer one just like it.

Exactly what I expected

Exactly what I thought I was getting. The only things I wish Honda would improve is adding ventilated seats and a gap in the bottom spoke on the steering wheel for those of us who like to have our hand in the center of the bottom part on the steering wheel. Averaging 30 mpg and that's with city driving and 80-ish interstate driving.

Previously, we owned a Honda Pilot Touring, 2009. After 168,000 miles we felt it was time to trade but after children were grown and on their own, we no longer needed the cargo/interior space that the Pilot offered, so we decided to down size to the CRV. Our daughter has driven a CRV for several years so we were familiar with it. This 2018 model is a vast improvement over the 2007 she has. After 10,000 miles we are very impressed. Great fuel economy, plenty of acceleration and overall the new generation CRV is top quality. We were not aware of the fuel/oil dilution problems that have been reported by some owners in colder climates before the purchase and have had no issues with ours. Perhaps being produced mid year in 2018, this model does not have that. I check the oil frequently and have not detected it being over full or having any fuel odor. The servicing dealership has assured me that if this should become a problem, they and Honda will provide a remedy to correct this or any other issues that may arise. Even though the new CRV is smart phone/audio compatible, opting in for the factory navigation was a must for us as we felt we gave up nothing, other than the rear entertainment system, by trading the Pilot. We are only familiar with the EX-L trim version CRV but felt the additional up charge for the Touring model and it's few extra features was not necessary for our needs. We would highly recommend this to anyone considering it.
