Vtc actuator/ timing chain
Do NOT buy this car. This is the warranty/ customer service on any car i have ever owned. Took it to the dealership with the famous “grinding” noise - literally 200 miles past the warranty. They replaced the vtc actuator and in “good faith “ paid for half and still cost me $600. Several months later same noise. Dealership is giving me the run around and now says that isn’t a vtc noise but the timing chain and wants another $1500 with no guarantee and won’t admit the charged me for the vtc when that wasn’t the issue the first time. I will NEVER buy another Honda in my life. Back to the Toyota Rav4 for me!

2013 CR-V EX-L
It has been a trouble free vehicle only required servicing through 100200 miles. The gas mileage is great and comfort leather seating, good heat and air. Road noise is louder then should be in a suv. The 4 cylinder engine with 5 speed transmission is weak on power on hills. Great around town and lots of leg room and good cargo space. Honda needs to put a fuel economy 6 in the CR-V not 4 cylinder turbocharged engines as an option.

from GMC dealership.sales man honda was better buy
bought from a GMC dealership, choice of either a GMC Terrain. 2013 or 2013 Chevy Equinox, and 2013 Honda. CRV-EX-L , all same year equipped equally, mileage close to each other. sales man directed me to Honda, saying it was a better buy. and better resale. you would think a GMC sales man would be try to get me to buy the Terrain. Right Choice made glad I picked the 2013 Honda. CRV- EX-L..

the grinder
Be aware of the grinding noise the car makes when starting. Dealer is not willing to fix the issue, Honda turns a deaf ear to this issue. Nice SUV but the grinding sound and no help from Honda, is a deal killer when I am ready for a new car. CRV runs good but still grinding

Wouldn't drive any other car
This is my second CRV - EX - L Nav. I owned a 2010 for three years and loved it so much I gave it to my daughter. The only issue I had with it was the starter, which I had replaced at the dealer. I recently bought a 2013 model with exactly the same equipment. This car is super good-looking, comfortable, and fun to drive. It has precisely the right equipment, lots of interior room, and very economical to operate. I have been a Honda aficionado for a number of years, having owned two Civics, three Accords, a Del Sol, and two CRV's. With all these cars, I have had Super Reliability. My cars are always garage-kept and maintenance is performed religiously. Take care of your car and it will take care of you....
