Love Honda's, but not this one!!
Had a 2005 Civic hybrid, the miles we're definitely higher, but weren't "Honda High", and the car already had transmission, battery and regenerative breaking issues, (ECU regen brake issue, not a simple brake job). Car jumped from stops, as if a first time manual driver was accelerating from a stop every time. Braking felt like a poor downshift would in a manual as well, due to its regenerative breaking feature (charged the hybrid battery breaking). If are planning on owning one of these with over 150,000 you will need to store away 2000+ for a battery, as they unltimately go out around 100,000ish at best, and in hot areas as low as 50,000. It is twice as hard to rebuild a battery as a Toyota Prius, and essentially a rebuild will not ensure your battery will last even 25000. Alternatively you can get a marine batter and can run the car w/o a hybrid battery, but essentially your running less than 70hp and w/o an alternator (this doesn't always work either). I did that for a while and got stranded a few times, but it is an option if you don't mind charging your battery every night. I'd say this car is for mechanics, or people who can grab one for $1000 and drive it to and from work without a hybrid battery, but I still WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR, without knowing and researching what your in for. Ill give it Honda though, the car ran untill getting hit and totaled at about 230000miles. Pros: Good gas, (not worth it though, trust me) Looks good Nice interior styling When the hybrid battery works you can run some big subs without headlights dimming Cons: Pretty Unreliable No cheap battery replacements Rebuilt battery's may not be good for that long No one wants/knows how to fix these CVT Transmissions suck Driving is not fun, common tranny issues make for a poor ride in stop and go traffic. Slow Never know when it's gonna break down.
My Civic and More!
I drive 40 miles one way to work and needed a car with good gas mileage. Also a care that was fun to drive at a great price. I found all of this in my Civic EX. I have over 8,000 miles on my Civic and it's still tight, no rattles or other noises. The instrument panel is easy on the eyes with great gauges. The trunk is very roomy and love the fold down back seat which adds to extra trunk room. The engineers designed a great car that rides smooth and looks great too. There are 3 things that is a must when I'm looking for a new car, 1 good reliability, 2 A/C & heating and 3 a great sound system. My Civic EX has it all and more!

Not Bad, Not Bad at All
I purchased my 2005 Civic Hybrid used, with just over 5700 miles on it. The vehicle has surprised me with its get up and go, good acceleration. I was worried it would be sluggish, but I am happy to say I was mistaken. Very comfy interior, great sound on the stereo system, and the AC will ice you down (living in Texas, this is a good thing). I like the little pseudo-fin on the back, adds a sporty little touch. Though a small car, it feels solidly put together and handles admirably. Of course, most importantly the gas mileage is sensational, and this was the main reason I got this car. I have not been disappointed, and I wouldn't expect anything less coming from Honda. Recommended!
Best Honda Owned
I have always heard great things about Honda cars. I bought my 2005 Civic Si Hatchback, because of design quality in and out. Also the stock motor putting out 160 bhp, that was another factor for the purchase. And the race design suspension gives handling a new meaning.
Love my civic
Best car Ive ever owned. I wanted a 5 speed trans in the newport blue color and thats what I got. I wanted a sunroof and glad I have it. This car gets awesome gas mileage and is fun to drive. I haven't had a single problem with it.
