Used 2016 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Used to be better
-> As compared to my 2005 Honda Accord V6 EX-L, I found following items a step down in the new 2016 Honda Accord V6 EX-L: * Side door storage compartment used to be 2.5 times larger and could hold 8.5x11 paper as well as 5 bottles of water. Now, it fits 2 bottles of water and not much else. this reduction applies to all doors on all new models, at least until 2016. See 2016 MDX doors for space comparison, which is similar to what I had in my old car. * The space on the door where the window meets the panel and where the driver used to be able to put his arm is now half in width. the panel also is not secure and if you press just a bit you will hear squeaking of materials. It does not feel as solid as it did before and screeches a bit if you press on it. * The steering wheel is no longer ribbed at the bottom for your fingers and is just plain smooth surface. This as well as the material used in the older model was what made the grip feel secure, but not as much now. The new material feels like a softer replacement covered in chalk and making my hands slide. I don't feel as secure driving with this wheel, especially when hands are dry. * The entertainment system buttons are now gone and are replaced with touch screen. They did a decent job with 2 screens, but I miss the old round button for volume, it was convenient and fast. * Yet another miss is the center console. It used to slide out and extend forward to allow the driver to place his right arm and provide arm relief. Does not extend any more and is fixed instead. The space in the console has been reduced in half. * Space reduction also applies to the glove compartment which now also looks 40% of original size. It used to fit 8.5x11 paper just fine and that can not be done any longer. * The center console as well as couple of other parts are accented with shiny and reflective black plastic. These will need to be constantly cleaned and are prone to scratches just like a cell phone screen. Honda allows 3rd party to meld vinyl over these shiny parts at an additional cost, but it just sounds like an afterthought. * Very noisy at highway speeds. * Driver side split mirror is dumb as it accomplishes nothing. * The visors are thinner and sometimes the sun shines between the cracks. * The windshield no longer has tinted strip at the top, making it hard to drive with sun in the front. -> Furthermore, following are the trouble points I find with the new 2016 Honda Accord V6 EX-L: * Transmission is wacky to say the least. It shifts in and out, clinking and clunking at various gears and speeds. Most of this happens in the first 3 gears where I have to fight with the car to try and keep driving smoothly. This car is simply unable to drive smoothly. Often times I hear transmission click, smack, or make loud popping noise. At times it feels dragging in the wrong gear and vibrating the entire car as a result. At times, after standing at a traffic light, the car has a 1+ second delay after which it makes a loud smack and then hesitantly moves. Other times, the car has a delay between stopping and going, noticeable enough that in traffic it is very hard to navigate around other cars. Lastly, at times, from stop to go, it feels like it is accumulating power, then smacks the engine and the transmission gears, making loud noise, all the while going not that fast. It's embarrassing in front of other drivers who are looking at this soap opera. The transmission feels so bad that at times I want to just drive the car off the cliff. * The car has very poor stereo. Whether it is the problem with head unit, amplifier or the speakers, I do not know. But I can tell you this, the radio (AM/FM) has NO base at maximum or it is being leveled out by the system. XM radio has some base, but it is all over the place, along with mids and highs, and at times so much that the speakers are distorting and vibrating uncontrollably. Whoever put the system together is either tone death or got so many cheap ideas together that the entertainment system suffered a stroke as a result. Car has digital FM radio, but it keeps going in and out of reception, changing tones as such, and making the whole experience unpleasant. * I found brakes on this car are underpowered and it feels like it struggles to stop at times; though when stopping from highway speeds to a stop, they also sometimes feel like jamming - probably in combination with transmission gearing down. Long story short, it stops either too fast or too slow. Overall, I expected much more. I am coping with it at this point until I can get rid of it and get a better car with a decently working transmission. I do not think Honda is the right brand for me going forward, although, I really like many of the features and the previously left feelings from the last car as well as on paper features list.

I love my 2016 Honda Accord EX-L
This is best car I have ever owned. I have owned over 10 different cars over the years, and this 2016 Accord is the best car for the money, I compared it to a Volvo S80, and a Subaru Legacy it is far superior. The ride, handling, comfort, features they are the best.

I knew I would love it!
I knew I would love my '16 Honda Accord Coupe. I'd done all my research in advance, so I sent out word I was looking. Made the process an easy one. This is what I want, show me that you have it. Not usually a silver car person but the lunar silver metallic looks great on this car. Love it! Here we are in March, 2017. Lucky me, great purchase. My '16 Honda Accord Coupe looks good, drives good, feels good, etc. Highly recommend.

1st Honda
This is our 1st Honda after years of Toyotas because the grills on the new Toyotas are so ugly we could not bring ourselves to buy one. Still too new to answer some of the questions but looks great and rides great. Some of the technology is not so easy to figure out and there is a lot of it. The navigation system appears to be outdated already as some construction completed in the last 2 years was not recognized. No USB port in the back seat is inconvenient and the cup holders are too deep for small cups. Not nearly as many little places to store things as our Toyotas had but the trunk is bigger.

GREAT CAR, POWER,COMFORT, STYLE all in ONE
I bought one of these cars as I wanted the quality that comes with buying a Honda product and I am MORE than pleasantly surprised. It took searching the entire east coast OF THE USA to find one, and one dealer would not tell me where the car was. DEALER'S had wildly different prices out of the four dealers that had one. It is not a big seller and most dealers do not stock them, only the larger dealer's will buy one MAYBE two for the entire year. The car moves down the road with ease, power and gets looks from young and old people, most people do not what kind of car it is, most guess at a Civic, but they all say "NICE CAR !", and it is. Comfort, style, power and the latest in technology all wrapped into the most successful mid-size car of the last 35 years...THE HONDA ACCORD. I will take care of this car and I am sure it will more than take care of me. this Honda Accord has Leather interior, 360 watt/ 7 speaker sound system, 2 video screen's(one touch screen), 2 camera's, 4 way power drivers seat, power everything. It might be .5 second slower BUT The Accord Coupe actually blows that car away....and I loved my '93 Sunfire. This Accord Coupe should serve me well.
